Been here?
A wild spot beside a beautiful river is directly next to a busy road, with loud running water and many midges. It is suitable for vehicles no larger than a VW bus. The entrance can become muddy and difficult, and vehicles have been damaged or stuck when leaving. Take all rubbish away and use caution with fires.

Right by the road, and the stream gurgles loudly, but it is a dream. Lots of mosquitoes. Maximum size: VW bus. Please take your rubbish with you and be careful when making fires.
The entrance to the access road is muddy; otherwise, the spot itself is not. Be careful when leaving the pitch: we scraped the ground with our van's step, which broke. Otherwise, the river noise is pleasant and there is little or no vehicle traffic.
We spent the night here to shelter from the severe storm. The place is beautiful and quiet. However, avoid it at the moment because the ground is very muddy. We got stuck and bogged down. Fortunately, local residents helped us out with a pickup truck. I should add that there are also enormous numbers of midges from 9 a.m.
This is my favourite spot in Ireland! The Idukki waterfall flows right past and if you manage to get here on a sunny day it's PERFECT for a swim. Even during the rain, the water is warm enough for a quick dip. Clear water and enough space to have a stretch next to the van. Just beware the entrance road is more worn than the photo shows
Beautiful place with even a small fire pit, but I have a 4x4 and would not drive in here with an ordinary camper.
Nice place, but we arrived after a day of rain: a large river, and therefore quite a lot of noise, plus a muddy track. Be careful when leaving with two-wheel drive!
