Quiet streamside parking, paid overnight

Beautiful stop in a great location. The fee is absolutely justified, because the beautiful old town with its half-timbered houses and cozy restaurants is easily reachable on foot. We especially liked the wonderful hiking trails right nearby. We would gladly come again!

The city has turned a free parking lot without any amenities into a paid parking lot where, if you stay overnight, you pay for the hours on the day of arrival and then the hours on the day of departure. Really clever. There is also the tourist tax of €2.20 per person.

Very quiet parking lot (at least during the week).\nStolberg is a wonderful town.\nA hike to the Josef Cross is also recommended.

Apparently the only free parking lot in Stolberg. Unfortunately, there is no toilet or trash bin either.

Top parking lot, self-sufficient for one or two nights, free, central, and a beautiful starting point for the castle or town center.

Perfect for visiting this beautiful old and restored town. If everyone now parks sensibly instead of taking up 3–4 spaces, we can surely continue staying here in the future. And of course, self-contained only; please do not contaminate the area with toilet paper and feces—you are ruining many places for us now.\nEnjoy this beautiful town.

Large, quiet parking lot.

A beautifully located spot, very quiet. You are left in peace if you behave properly. The town center can be reached on foot in a few minutes. Wonderful half-timbered houses.

Simple parking lot at the edge of town near a stream. The romantic half-timbered town center and castle complex are easily reachable on foot. There are some restaurants; local shopping is very limited. The cookie outlet is worth visiting with a large bag. Good starting point for hikes.

We spent a wonderful night here with lots of fresh snow. Absolutely quiet and friendly residents. No facilities for water or waste.

Excellent place, beautiful village. You may stay for 48 hours and spend the night! You can walk straight to the castle and into the forest—super quiet, a top spot! I asked a local why there is no trash bin: tourists made a mess, so the bin was removed and the toilets closed. PLEASE TAKE YOUR TRASH WITH YOU!!!!!! Do not urinate or defecate outside!!!

The sign now says cars and buses only. So motorhomes are not allowed. The same applies to the other parking lot in this town. That means we can no longer visit the town with a motorhome. There is nowhere to park the vehicle.

Beautiful quiet place, free parking.

We were there at Easter, and there was a great fire burning. The next day everything was cleared away.
