2 Im Bioenergiepark, 48369, Saerbeck
Been here?
Large, level parking at the rural bioenergy park in Saerbeck. Truck traffic occurs during normal daytime operations, while wind turbines can be heard softly. Weekends can be very noisy, with young people and loud music passing hourly from 20:00 to 4:00; a canteen nearby serves lunch, coffee and cake during business hours.

We came on a Tuesday and were completely alone. A couple of cars passed but did not stop. The wind turbines could be heard softly, but they were not disturbing. There were animals, perhaps a fox or wild boar, in the woods behind, but our presence did not seem to bother them. We slept very well. Traffic started at 7 a.m., and at 10:30–11 a.m. a large group of hunters arrived, so we decided to leave.
Not recommended at weekends; this is probably a meeting place before, during, and after the disco. From 8 p.m. to 4 a.m., teenagers arrive hourly with loud music. During the week it is probably a good pitch: large and level.
During normal business hours, there is a great canteen immediately behind the entrance, 50 metres to the right, with good lunch specials as well as coffee and cake. Definitely worth a visit.
