58 Route du Rohu, 56730, Saint-Gildas-de-Rhuys
Been here?
Sea-facing parking with free overnight parking. Vehicles under 2 m use a barrier-protected area; larger motorhomes and vans park in the main lot. Toilets available; restaurant nearby. Municipality allows overnight stays but requests no tables or chairs be left outside. Quiet at night; busy with early beachgoers and restaurant clientele.

Great spot facing the sea. 2 m barrier. Toilets available. A bar near the parking area, but no noise during the night. Plenty of space available in this season—excellent!
A really nice place. Unfortunately, we encountered some camper van users who were playing music quite loudly after 10:00 PM. Otherwise, I recommend it.
Great spot facing the sea for spending the night. The town hall allows vans to park overnight, but they do not want to see tables and chairs set up outside. Nothing is posted on-site, but officials have already come by to make this known. P.S. It seems the automatic toilets are closed at night.
Magnificent view of the ocean and beach. Lots of vans during the summer. Beware of people spreading out too much with tables and chairs if we want to preserve these magical places.
Very beautiful spot facing the sea. A few people around, but very quiet.
Very beautiful sea view. Quiet parking area at night (2 m barrier). Small restaurant nearby. Very nice spot for the night.
Very nice spot! You are never alone because it is so well located, facing the sea. The parking area is really large, so there is room not to be crowded together.
If you like small, intimate spots, keep driving! Gravel parking area beside the road. Its great advantage is that it is one of the only places nearby where you can stay overnight. The road has little traffic. Facing the islands of Hoëdic, Houat and Belle Île. The beach is beautiful. A good spot considering the options! Too late in the season to enjoy the outdoor café; we will have to come back.
Well, if this spot had to be described in one word, it would be: perfect! You can park your van on a magnificent seafront, spend the night, use the toilets and wash your hands, eat at a great place right next door for lunch and dinner, use recycling bins in the parking area, and find friendly people everywhere. Arriving early in the morning or late in the afternoon is highly recommended.
Superb spot facing the ocean, accessible only to vehicles under 2 m. Very quiet at night, but it is still a parking area used by early beachgoers and sailing-club customers in the morning. A very friendly outdoor café serving delicious crêpes is only a few meters away, as are clean public toilets.
Either park in the van area with a 2 m barrier or along the parking area for vehicles over 2 m, where there is no barrier. A magnificent spot along the sea, with the Red Fish Hut for something to eat or drink. Go there without hesitation for a magnificent sunset.
Very quiet parking area with a 2 m height limit. There are also several spaces along the road available for campers and motorhomes. Highly recommended.
Incredible view facing the sea, very quiet spot for sleeping. There is an outdoor café at the end of the parking area where you can eat and have a drink. There is also a water-sports center offering all kinds of rentals. Public toilets are available but close at 9:30 p.m.
Quiet spot even though there were many people in the middle of August.
Very beautiful sea view. Quiet parking area at night (2 m barrier). Small restaurant nearby. Very nice spot for the night.
2 m height limit, sea view and direct beach access. Quiet at night, lively during the day. Public toilets near the restaurant. Magnificent sunset toward the campsite a little farther up.
Beautiful place for diving and quiet for vans.
Great spot in front of the beach. Public toilets nearby, closing at 9:30 p.m. Overnight parking allowed. Small beach bar nearby, but it was closed on Monday evening when we were there, so there was no noise. A few other vans and cars left once the sun went down. Highly recommended!
Superb view and beautiful beach just below. But very busy, even on a weekend outside the school holidays! Lots of vans, but also many cars because of the restaurant next door. Nearby toilet was clean.
A superb spot, rare nowadays. No noise except the ocean. Large parking area facing the sea for vans only, public toilets and bins. Thank you for keeping this place clean and respecting it.
2.10 m height barrier Large, almost flat parking area (we used leveling blocks anyway) Public toilets with soap and water. No toilet paper. Closes at 9:30 p.m. Recycling bins. Very quiet night facing the ocean. Fills up quickly in the morning because of the sailing club next door. Excellent phone reception.
