Central historic-area parking, no shade

Very good location, just a few minutes from the city center on the right as you leave the parking lot. The city center is worth visiting in the evening to enjoy the atmosphere and lights.✦Translating

There is a water tap for filling up, which is not mentioned in the parking information. It is well located for visiting the historic center of the city. It lacks shade, and there is a pedestrian gate that remains open 24 hours a day right where the cars are parked.✦Translating

It is simply a parking area for 20 motorhomes, with electricity but not for all pitches, and nothing else. Very convenient for visiting Mérida since everything is very close. The area is separate from the bus and car zone, so there are no problems; it is restricted. It can only be rated as a parking area, nothing more, hence the low rating.✦Translating

Attention: we wanted to pay in cash, but at the booth they told us that we were registered in an app and would be charged through it (we understood nothing). In the end, they charged me €20.75 via the toll-payment system, even though the price is €15. I have already filed a complaint.✦Translating

Excellent place for an overnight stay + visit. Next to the parking is a huge 1650m2 playground including waterspraying playground - great for hot days: “Parque Ciudad de la Infancia”. When walking the city center, use the green route via “Parque López de Ayala”

Perfectly situated for the fascinating Roman monuments. Parking a little sloping but not a problem. Quiet at night. Very good services. Secure. Only downside for us was that there was absolutely no shade to be had and we had an extremely hot, sticky evening/night! €15 for overnight stay.

This site is no more than a parking lot. You may not put chairs outside or level the camper with ramps. The space between campers is no more than 1 meter. The only advantage is that you are close to the sights and have very good Wi-Fi reception. We moved to the other camper site in Mérida the next day.✦Translating

We arrived yesterday afternoon. The area is in a great location, close to the center, with the visitor center right next door. Mérida is very beautiful and worth discovering; we have been several times. Thanks to the town council for making our stay possible. The payment system is very easy: you enter, it reads your license plate, and when you leave you enter the plate number at the machine, pay, and go. Very well located but quite sloping. If you come from the north, the GPS only gives impossible routes (a bridge that is too low or too narrow, etc.). The easiest way is to enter the address of the other area/car park, and from there enter this address again; then it works.✦Translating

I don't understand why there are two signs at the entrance saying "Motorhome Parking Full" when spaces are available. I saw this both in the morning and afternoon when I went to refill my water container. Several motorhomes have had to park in the surrounding area.✦Translating

This is a car, bus and motorhome park so expect it to be noisy but that is the only negative. It is ideally located for visiting a beautiful city steeped in history with an abundance of shops, cafes and bars as well as beautiful walks along the river. This is a great stopover and one that we would highly recommend and also, one that we will revisit.

Large, guarded, fenced parking lot. Water and waste-disposal facilities on site. Paid electricity is also available. About five minutes from the Roman theater. The surroundings leave something to be desired. You pay at a machine that has registered the license plate. No shade!!

Good place to visit Mérida's monuments, all less than 15 minutes away on foot. Quiet parking area. We spent the weekend there and had a good time. It has Wi-Fi, facilities for filling up with water and disposing of grey and black water, and it is monitored.

A clever system of number plate recognition lets you in and out, after payment, without a ticket. No reduction for less than 24 hours, so a night was 15 €. Electricity extra for the ones near enough to the hook up. But great for a one night stay, to visit the impressive Roman sites. Not especially noisy, despite being next to the buses.

Excellent location for Roman ampitheatre and nearby shops. Noisy for a short while when buses refuel just after 11pm. We stayed for 2 nights and still didn't see all the historic sites. Wonderful historic city. Felt secure as barrier controlled and 24 hour attendant.

They state that there are no sanitary facilities, but during the day I used the tourist center next door. The electricity connection is also too far away if you are at the end of the row. It is quite steep, so €15 plus €5 for electricity is indeed too expensive. One day is enough.

We parked to visit Mérida. Good parking by the hour or €15 per night. All services, with security, and a 10-minute walk from the amphitheater and other monuments. Highly recommended.

An area within a parking lot, but with all services working perfectly and five minutes' walk from the center. Coming from Cáceres via the A-66, the GPS took us under a bridge with a maximum height of 3 meters—be careful. It is better to take the second motorway exit and let the GPS recalculate the route.

We parked here for 6 hours to visit Mérida and its Roman sites of interest. It cost €8.30. We felt very secure leaving our van there. We would have been happy to stay overnight, but decided to make some inroads into the next part of our journey.

Very well located, ideal for visiting the amphitheater. The only bad thing is that the pitches are sloping, somewhat small, and a little expensive. There is noise from 7:00 because the buses park there. But one night is more than enough.
