Camping du Cap Fréhel

The location is ideal, right next to beautiful beaches and not far from Cap Fréhel, with hiking and cycling opportunities. Camping is informal, with no marked pitches, so you have to find your own little spot. Different food trucks every evening!

Be sure to arrive in the morning during high season. At 2 p.m. the site was already full.

A pleasant campsite near the sea. The descent to the beach is difficult, and I won’t even mention the climb back up!!! The facilities are clean and the welcome is friendly. There are always people who spread out, but it’s the same everywhere when pitches are unmarked!!!! €19.40 for two people with electricity is very reasonable. We’ll come back.

Very friendly welcome. Choose your own pitch. You can quickly reach Cap Fréhel by bike. A lovely little swimming cove is very close by. The facilities are quite dated, which doesn’t bother me. It’s somehow camping like it used to be, without all the frills. €28 per night.

Beautiful, clean, and quiet campsite opposite the beach with plenty of shade. The facilities are somewhat dated, and the morning cleaning between 8 and 9 was a little unusual, but hey, we’re on holiday ;-). About 1.6 km away on foot are several nice little restaurants for anyone who appreciates or wants to try good French cuisine.

Roll up and pick your spot! Massive wide open spaces and with so many trees there's plenty of shade. That's very welcome as we're here in the middle of this heatwave, which is gripping most of Europe. Yes the facilities are a bit old and basic, but clean, fully functional and more than acceptable for the price. Wonderful beach literally just over the road. We will be staying for a second night.

Good welcome. Everyone chooses freely where to set up. Plenty of space. Too bad the bathrooms are always dirty. The beach is very close, as is the lighthouse. 2 people and 1 van: €12.

The location is fantastic: next to a beautiful beach, with space and peace at the campsite. The facilities are old and unfortunately not cleaned often enough, so there is mud, hair, and so on. No toilet paper or soap. Most of the building is closed, leaving many people to share a few shower cubicles. The water is pleasantly warm, though.

Quiet campsite with only the sound of birds. Unmarked pitches, close to the cycle path, hiking trails, the beach, Cap Fréhel, and Fort La Latte castle.

The location is beautiful, right by the beach, with a hiking trail outside the entrance. You choose your own pitch, although many spots are uneven; there are shaded areas. The showers and toilets are dated, hence only 3 stars. But for €15, it’s acceptable. Water and disposal facilities available.

First of all, it feels good here. A pleasant atmosphere with some spectacular views. Choosing your own pitch was also good. Directly by a beach access and the start of a spectacular walk to the cape. The price of around €20 was fair for a campervan, two people, a dog, and electricity. The facilities are basic and appropriate for the price. Four stars is too few.

important info: during pre-season (visited 2nd week in june) all facilities are closed. You are charged 5€ for standing on a lawn, which was cut right around noon (when tryingbto eat outside). Only usable facility is grey/black water disposal. Otherwise okay - some large spots (leveled) and a big meadow. 4km to the lighthouse (bikepath) and 6km to chateau de latte

Wonderful huge site for €5 per night for campervans. With a view of Cap Fréhel. The walk takes about an hour, or 40 minutes along the road, to the cape. The toilets are not operating yet. Wastewater disposal is available.

Here we are again, having spent five wonderful, peaceful nights in the low season. Please pay in the mailbox if the municipal employee doesn’t come by, so this offer can continue!

Beautiful, very spacious grounds where you can park wherever you want, not far from Cap Fréhel, which can be visited on foot or by bike. An agent comes in the morning to collect the €5 parking fee. Grey and black water disposal available. Only one tap for rinsing cassettes and taking on water, so think twice.

Five stars if you are completely self-sufficient. Apparently only campers are allowed. Someone from the municipality comes every morning to collect €5. Emptying grey and black water: fine. Filling with water: questionable. The grounds are sloping, but there are shaded spots. Very quiet.

It’s great that you can use the site outside the season for €5. The only drawback is that there is just one tap for toilet rinsing and fresh water. So make sure you fill up with water beforehand.

The campsite is officially still closed, but the municipality allows the site to be used overnight for €5. There is no electricity or toilets, but disposal and water filling work. Perfectly close to Cap Fréhel and Fort La Latte. Very quiet at night.

A great place to stop! At the foot of the GR34 and the Vélomaritime, with an exceptional view of Cap Fréhel. It’s quiet and clean. Thank you to the municipality for opening this place to self-contained vehicles, since there is no electricity or sanitary facilities when the campsite is closed. The €5 per day fee provides access to services such as water and waste disposal.

A very pleasant place, right by the sea and beach. As others have mentioned, there is no electricity and the toilet buildings are closed. Even so, it’s a beautiful place to park overnight for only €5. The surroundings are fantastic.

The site is also open in April, although the sanitary facilities are closed. Fresh water, grey water, and toilet emptying are available. The current price is €5 per night, collected by a municipal employee or paid into the mailbox.

Brilliant campsite near the GR34. For €5, waste emptying and filling are included. What more could you ask for? Oh yes—a lovely sea view as a bonus. The facilities are not open yet, but given how few people there are, I understand. Thank you.

An ideal site for €5 in the off-season. The municipality comes to collect payment around 9 a.m. Water is available, and grey and black water disposal is possible. Wonderful beach, relatively unaffected by the tide. Good starting point for hikes or a bike ride to Cap Fréhel or Fort La Latte.

Great site, a few hundred metres from a superb beach. Closed as a campsite from September 14. According to the website, open for self-contained motorhomes until November 2, without services. Payment of the €5 is still unclear.

Really great campsite in a perfect location for reaching the beach, heathland, and lighthouse! Beautiful sunsets, facilities are fine, food truck in the evening, and bread and croissants in the morning! Reasonable price!

Great site with free choice of pitch. We paid €12 per night for two people in a VW T3, without electricity. The toilets and showers are older but were always clean during our stay. A food truck selling burgers and wraps came in the evening. A beautiful beach is directly opposite. We would stop here again.

Super spacious campsite, impossible to find a quieter place, with hot water in the showers, a food truck in the evening 20 minutes away on foot across the heath, and a bakery with irresistible Breton pastries. In the evening, there is a spectacular sunset five minutes away and the charming La Fosse beach.

We prefer to stay free and secluded, but when that isn’t possible, we’re very happy at a campsite like this: friendly welcome, slightly hilly natural grounds without marked pitches and with free choice of location, a great beach, and beautiful surroundings. We would gladly pay more than just under €15 per night for two people in a panel van.

It suits us just fine...
