La Vesquesse, 43380, Villeneuve-d'Allier
Been here?
A natural, shaded campsite beside the Allier, with grassy pitches and swimming nearby. The sanitary facilities were reported very clean most recently, although an older comment found them somewhat dated. The price is 17 € per night for 2 people, with electricity costing 6,50 €. Canoeing ends here, and there are a playground, tennis court and bowling green.

The beach is nice, although on this August Sunday it looked like the Buttes-Chaumont on the first sunny days. Apart from that, it is nothing special. The sanitary facilities are mediocre, the children's playground is outside the campsite and in full sun, there are lots of flies, and some tree pruning would not go amiss. In short, we have experienced much better for much less money.
Pleasant campsite due to its shaded location near the Allier. New management. The sanitary facilities are very clean. Nevertheless, the price is excessive: €17 per night for two people, plus €6.50 for electricity. Very warm welcome and friendly people.
Friendly, natural, shaded campsite. The sanitary facilities are somewhat dated and need more regular cleaning. No rubbish collection or sanitary-facility cleaning took place over the weekend we stayed. Canoeing down the Allier is possible. I recommend the 12-km half-day trip with Crazy Flotte: a great outing with a hassle-free provider.
The same problems with the sanitary facilities as last year. Close to the Allier and very well shaded. Evening atmosphere with the outdoor café. €14 for a motorhome and two people, plus electricity.
Small municipal campsite on the banks of the Allier. Quiet, shaded pitches with grass. Bar and restaurant right next door. The sanitary facilities are clean but need a major refresh.
Very idyllic campsite directly on the river. Swimming here is very pleasant. Sanitary facilities so-so, but functional. Restaurant and bar on site, though we did not use them. An ideal place to slow down.
Municipal campsite with new managers. Welcoming and very friendly. Large pitches, very clean sanitary facilities. Restaurant and bar with entertainment at weekends. A very relaxing place on the banks of the Allier. We spent three nights here. I recommend it. CD
Nature campsite near the Allier, with large open spaces. Good welcome. Water and electricity accessible at all pitches. Clean sanitary facilities but plumbing problems. Mud on the central lane and in front of the sanitary facilities. Some pitches overgrown with shrubs. Overall, harmful neglect. Motorhomes park for free in front of the campsite.
Beautiful location, but the sanitary facilities have seen better days. Urgently in need of renovation. There is not even any lighting. The restaurant is closed due to a lack of staff.
Very good, quiet, and well equipped. The restaurant is nice and very affordable. Good welcome.
