Riverside picnic parking, overnight prohibited

I do not understand the bad reviews because people get fined; it clearly says that overnight stays are not allowed. We stopped to eat and take a walk by the river, and it is a wonderful place for that. Shade, tables...

Good for a break. There are lots of trees, so there is shade too. The cows keep you company.

The place is idyllic, but overnight stays are not allowed and I do not understand why. They usually pass by between 8 and 8:30 a.m. We slept three nights and only saw them one day. Perhaps if you get up early, you will have no problem.

Wonderful place for daytime recreation. There is a clearly visible sign prohibiting overnight stays. The police drive past frequently. Seven picnic tables. Next to a field with two goalposts. There are also a few cows.

Perfect spot; we do not understand why overnight stays are not allowed. Two minutes’ walk away is Quesería Bal de Broto, where you can have a few beers and taste cheese—luxury.

I am not surprised the Guardia Civil comes by. We stopped and there were four campers; next to one there was a naked person, and beside a table there was a condom. We left.

I have slept here several times, and at 7:30 the Guardia Civil woke us and asked for our documents.

Police arrived at 8 a.m. Fined €50 per person. There were five of us.

The site is beautiful and flat, but the tap is broken and there is no drinking water.

Perfect for stopping to play and eat, with a football field and shade. You should visit the Bal de Broto cheese shop just before it; they are very friendly. The cheeses are delicious!

We deserve to be thrown out everywhere. If you cannot sleep there, is it really so hard to respect that?

The site is perfect, spectacular and ideal, but it clearly says overnight stays are prohibited. There were 30 caravans and we trusted that nothing would happen, but at 8 in the morning the Guardia Civil came.

Ideal place to stop along the way, eat and rest. Since we have dogs, it was great for us. Beautiful views and very peaceful. The Guardia Civil even passed by while we were there, which we saw as a positive sign.

The place is amazing; what a shame that you cannot legally stay overnight... Large grassy area and football fields, ideal for dogs. Shaded area and picnic tables. The fountain does not work. There are rubbish containers. They should reconsider allowing us to stay overnight, as we would have stayed more than one night.

Lovely big picnic area. But the reason it gets 5* is actually because of it's proximity to the dairy opposite where if you are lucky you can see them making Gold medal winning cheese at the world cheese awards, then buy some too... absolutely delicious cheese at a good price. Go and visit them!
