Extremely beautiful. Lots of small pools in the rock formation. Great for older children. WARNING: lots of horseflies. Still 5/5.
A perfect camping spot. Space for a maximum of one vehicle, up to 7 meters. Quiet, with almost no traffic, access to the sea via a footpath, and a perfect sunset over the sea. There is no better spot!
This place was perfect. Amazing view, level(ish) ground, silent night despite being next to a road. No cars went past. Spent a few hours fishing off the rocks, caught pollock, and a cheeky seal kept popping his head up to say hello, we saw him 5 times. You can see/hear otters too. No services, but who cares when you’re somewhere as amazing as this and have it all to yourself. Smaller camper only.
Nothing blocks the entrance. Ideal spot if you work online, as there is excellent 5G here, unlike the spot at the back of the fjord where there is no signal. A nice little 25 km hike in the mountains. The view is nice without being incredible. Several fireplaces for barbecues or fires. The locals are friendly and happy to have fewer tourists than on the other side of the island. So are we.
Unfortunately, access from the road is blocked.
Small site on a left-hand bend. The view from up here is tremendous. Sun until around 9 p.m. in late April. There is a footpath to the water. Very little road traffic.
