Been here?
Parking near the zoo with cycle access through the woods and along the river to the town centre in under 15 minutes. A railway runs beside the parking area, but trains do not run at night, and the place becomes very quiet after the zoo closes. The larger area behind the underpass is more spacious, though access may be restricted by the underpass height. Daytime parking is limited to 5 hours and requires a parking disc.

Really a beautiful place behind the underpass. There is no time limit here either! One motorhome seems to have approached from the other side; it should somehow be possible for taller vehicles too. After the zoo closes in the evening, it is super quiet. There are sunny and shady spots. The rows are separated by low hedges, and the night was undisturbed. In the morning, until 8:45, there was nobody there.
Good place for the night. Attention: maximum five hours during the day, and do not forget the parking disc. We forgot it and were greeted on our return by a nice 510 DKK ticket.
If you want to access the larger area, you have to take Carl Baggers and Ostergards... a 2.7 × 6.95 m motorhome will pass without any problem!!! And then, it is "over grand"...!!!!
As already mentioned, it is worth driving through the underpass. The area behind it is larger and considerably nicer.
For our van under 2.2 m high, it was ideal for reaching the much nicer parking area behind the underpass. Little activity after the zoo closed, far across the way. Thirty-five minutes on foot to the city center, which is excellent. Also perfect for concerts in the area behind it, as in our case, Rammstein.
The only place where I, as a resident of Odense, would feel safe sleeping! The train is not far away, and you can reach the center quickly from there. The train does not run at night, so you can sleep peacefully.
It was completely fine for one night! Small grassy areas were great for the dog. We did not use the public toilets, so I cannot comment on them. We did not notice much of the train during the night. It was fine for staying somewhere safe!
