Harbor parking, weekday truck noise

A nice place, but very early on weekdays it gets busy with trucks that also drive fast and kick up a lot of dust. I much prefer the deserted little parking area between Diedenweg and Verbindingsweg. Quiet, lots of shade, views of sheep, and just around the corner from two beautiful arboretums. 20 minutes’ walk to the center. A hidden gem ;-)

Great spot and unique in the Netherlands. Beautiful view and free. What more could you want? Well, it would have earned one extra star if it weren't a popular hangout with the associated noise nuisance.

Despite a bit of noise from around 7 a.m., I thought this place was great! Since it costs nothing, the noise isn't a problem.

Fantastic spot! Busy during the day because of the sand and gravel storage, but between 5 p.m. and 8 a.m. it is wonderfully quiet; the only sounds are the geese and pheasants in the adjacent floodplains. This is also the magnificent view from your camper. You can also walk endlessly along the Lower Rhine, and the city center is a 10-minute walk away. Absolutely wonderful, I would gladly come back here!

It's nice that the municipality has created free places! And you're next to a beautiful nature area! But as mentioned earlier, you can hear the concrete factory until 8 p.m. and again from around 6 a.m. So don't come here expecting to sleep in.

Excellent FREE spot in the center of Wageningen! So there is no right to complain about noise, the lack of facilities, or “non-tourists” staying here. It is bad enough that there isn't enough housing for Wageningen's own workers, students, and residents. So a heartfelt thank-you to Wageningen for welcoming holidaymakers too!

It is already mentioned that you are next to a concrete factory, but it is quiet on Saturdays and Sundays. On the other days there is a lot of noise. We stayed here several years ago too, when there were only campers. Now several residents/students(?) are living permanently at this camper site. So the rules are clearly not being enforced.

Perfect for a stopover. The town and Lidl are within walking distance, as is a beautiful nature area for an evening stroll. Truck noise only starts at 6:30 a.m.

Beautiful view and very close to the city. Next to a concrete plant, but that didn't bother me.

Nice place to spend the night; indeed, there is heavy work traffic in the morning. Completely full on an ordinary Wednesday in March, but we still found a place. Stayed for 2 nights. Beautiful area for walking, with lots of pubs and places to eat.

Excellent spot with a view of the floodplains. Close to the city and the walking routes through the floodplains. Five stars because everything matches the descriptions.

We only arrived after midnight. Unfortunately, there was extreme noise from the adjacent concrete works from 4:30 a.m., and many trucks also drove past. We did not have a peaceful night.

Nothing wrong with this free camper site. Ideal for one night if you happen to be nearby. No facilities, but we didn't need any. We slept peacefully.

Admirable how municipalities have elevated it to an art form, using dictatorial local regulations as a crutch to designate the most terrible places as camper sites…

Easy to find, very good bike lanes nearby as well as a walk to the wetlands. No facilities but shop nearby, looks out into a nice field.

We arrived on a Thursday around 7 p.m. and were lucky that three places were available. The night was quiet, the morning less so because of the trucks already mentioned. Some pitches are paved with grass pavers, while others are simply grass. A little uneven, but nothing serious. A simple, free parking area for visiting the town or, as in our case, for an overnight stop while passing through.

Superb little spot to explore the lovely town. 5 mins bike ride & a lovely fishing spot past the dock. No noise in the morning which surprised us & a very peaceful night.
