Been here?
A daytime parking area close to Ghent’s historic center, in the green parking zone and outside the low-emission zone. It is shaded in summer but affected by nearby road noise, although it can be relatively quiet. The pedestrian zone is 1.8 km away, and overnight stays are prohibited. It is unsuitable for large motorhomes, while Sunday parking is free.

Nice shady spot in summer, and very quiet considering how close it is to the major road. Free on Sundays. But it is quite a long walk to the pedestrian zone (1.8 km).
It seemed more convenient and suitable for a camper than the other places next to the park. A little noise from the nearby roads. Thirty minutes on foot from beautiful central Ghent.
Well located, but noisy.
Difficult access into road and it’s wedged between 2 busy roads. We gave up trying to access.
Booking is possible for a maximum of 5 hours (until 7 p.m.). Free on Sundays. Next to a beautiful park, ideal for travelers with dogs. Very good connection to the public transport network. You can be directly in the city center in 15 minutes.
Spaces in summer when no students. Traffic hum most of the time. Great to walk in to town and see sights, about 30 minutes.
Top location. Safe, close to the center. Somewhat heavy traffic in the morning, but what do you expect when you are so close to the center? Paid parking from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Maximum of 5 hours.
No facilities. About 8-10 spaces for 6m vans or a camper would need to park sideways. Shared with a Ducato. Really quiet till 7am traffic started. As you pull into the road the turn in is in your left so stay focused or you have to go round again. Nice spot infront of the museum .
Robert Hoozee Park. Good location for exploring Ghent. Just outside of the LEZ but only 5 minute walk to the student district; not the prettiest part of town but lots of pubs and cafes. Then just another 20 minute walk to the centre of Ghent, cathedral of St Bavo, and lots of beautiful areas. Some road noise but mostly quiet, and felt safe. Free overnight until 09:00 and then 1.80€ph.
Makes it easy to visit the historic center.
6 m panel van. We parked opposite the museum, not on the main road. After a brief conversation with a police officer, it was clear that campers are welcome there. Good for a stopover.
Parked here for 2 nights, Saturday paid for 5hrs which was €9 and Sunday was free, left Monday morning. nice spot it’s only about 25min walk into Ghent old town. nice spot to park
Inexpensive parking, free from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 a.m. Maximum parking duration of 5 hours during the day. Level surface; despite being beside the road, we slept well. Felt safe... right by the Museum of Fine Arts. Ten minutes by bicycle, half an hour on foot to the wonderful old town.
Perfect for visiting this magnificent city on foot and enjoying the atmosphere... but at night... we were alone and were harassed.... We moved at 11 p.m.!!
We only parked here to visit the city. Since it was Sunday, we did not pay anything.
Stayed two nights paid a total of €10:80, managed to stay Sunday which is free, we arrived 6:00pm Saturday and left 2:00pm Monday, noisy but good location for centre. Would stay again.
Good location, not too far to walk into the centre, some noise in the evening of cars, but nothing too much and felt safe here.
Still a good spot by museums and center city, but prices went up significantly in the last month. 9€ for max amount of time and wouldn’t go for whole day. Probably would need to arrive around 14:00 to max time to free period after 19:00
€1.80 per hour. Traffic all the time. At night they broke a wing mirror (and those of all the cars on the street). Lots of people partying and they respect nothing. You could have a problem. I would not recommend spending the night here.
Paid parking... 10 minutes from the tram to visit the city.
