12 Rue Mathé, 89200, Avallon
Been here?
Free, fairly level parking under trees near the hospital, with a tight entrance that accommodated a 7m x 2.3m motorhome. The rest of the area is steep and less suitable for settling in, and the bar closes the parking at night. It is in the town centre near shops and a park, but can be overcrowded on market days, with occasional traffic or late-night noise. The shaded section appears reserved for traders, and there are no services.

Sunday morning, very few people. Free parking in the town center, easy to access; a motorhome takes up two car spaces. The parking area under the trees appears to be reserved for shopkeepers and was empty this Sunday. A document called The Frog Trail, costing €2, is sold at the tourist office and allows you to tour the town's monuments in an hour or more.Translating
Be careful: Thursday and Saturday are market days, and there are works on Place Vauban, so the parking area is overcrowded and there is no space for us.Translating
Young people doing handbrake turns and loud music near us until late at night. Apart from that is was an ideal spot
Excellent and peaceful place to spend the night, and free. Be careful of the trees and of people parking in the middle of the passage, which can make maneuvering difficult.Translating
