Avenida Antonio Sandi, 11, 39330, Santillana del Mar
Been here?
This paid parking area in the centre is convenient for visiting Santillana del Mar, with shade, water, gray- and black-water disposal, bins and nearby shops and restaurants. A 24-hour stay costs 14€, while restrooms are about 350 m away and reportedly open around 10:30. Long vehicles can access the site, but low branches, uneven access and an untidy waste area have been noted. Automatic ticket entry and exit are provided.

Very accessible. Recommended especially for long vehicles, since access to the village is otherwise nearly impossible. Close to the centre. Water, grey-water disposal and bins.
Parking in an ideal area for visiting the city, very quiet at night and with some shaded areas in the morning. Convenient, clean fresh-water and waste-water facilities in separate areas. During the day, when other car parks are full, it is also used by cars.
Ideal location for visiting the city. Going in the morning helps avoid the crowds.
The site is neglected and has a very messy and dirty rubbish area. Otherwise, there are many fairly shady spaces and it is close to town. Chairs and a table must remain inside the camper.
Reasons: a paid car park not exclusively for motorhomes. The surface and access for motorhomes inside the car park are poorly maintained. There are low branches in areas that must be crossed, so the tyre tracks in the flowerbeds clearly show where people drive to avoid them. There is no supervision or assistance that I could see.
Excellent facility for visiting the town. It would be even better with electricity. Fresh-water and waste-water services. We spent €9.50 for 5 hours.
Excellent aire with services at three points and surrounded by greenery. Be careful not to use the hose reels on the taps; not everyone is a considerate motorhome user. They drive a camper, but leave their manners at home.
Excellent stopping area near the village, partly shaded, with fresh-water and toilet and grey-water disposal. We paid €4.60 for two hours. Entry and exit are controlled by automatic tickets.
Very good place to visit the village. It is in the centre. Convenient. You can empty grey and black water and fill up with fresh water. Bins nearby and shade. Good price.
€14 for 24 hours as indicated in the reviews. Worth it if you spend the night to visit the village, since the whole area is paid blue-zone parking and would cost almost the same.
We parked during the day. Everything was fine. We paid approximately €8 for three and a half hours.
Quiet parking with services. Some areas are shaded. Level ground. Excellent for visiting Santillana and Altamira.
Great park up, I’m leaving here today after staying 1 night. Great location to visit this amazing, historical town and only €14.00 per night with toilet dump & water tap if needed….10/10 from us.
Great location to enjoy the beautiful medieval town. Comes with water and waste water section however we were charge €14 euro but steep compared to other locations we have been at that include more facilities
Paid parking, relatively level, with services included. We stayed 24 hours and paid €14. This location is ideal for quietly visiting this charming village.
Excellent stopping area. Level, with fresh-water and waste-water services available at three different points, so there is little or no waiting. €14 for 24 hours. Well located for visiting Santillana del Mar. Fully automated payment: take a ticket on entry, pay at the machine by credit card to exit, then leave within 15 minutes.
Three hours to visit the town on foot, €2.75. You can empty grey water and refill with fresh water. Very good for such a central location.
Very good place. It is very close to the centre, supermarket and laundry. We spent one night, visited the beautiful village, emptied the motorhome's waste water, filled with fresh water and emptied the toilet too. €14 for 24 hours. Caution: the water services are at three different points. First fill with water, then empty it, and finally empty the toilet. Chairs and tables may not be put outside.
A paid car park near such a beautiful town is not shocking. However, the water and disposal points are spread across three locations, and some people rinse their toilets at the drinking-water tap. Explanatory signs are needed to prevent this. Be careful to leave quickly when the barrier rises: we braked to let a scooter through and the barrier closed onto our motorhome.
Good parking, quiet for spending the night, €14 per day. Close to the village. Fresh-water filling and grey-water disposal available.
Parking near the village centre, but we later saw that the other Santillana aire is also nearby and has better views. The site is well located and nicely surrounded. It is quite spacious and has services, but I give it three stars because they do not answer the information phone and because the grey-water facilities are poorly signposted.
Good option for parking a motorhome near the historic centre, as billing is calculated by the minute—especially useful given the difficult parking situation for motorhomes.
good location and facilities. good hard car park and waste area looked new better than what Google images showed.
Very close to everything worth visiting. We spent one night and it was great, quiet and without noise, until 08:00 when workers appeared with a chisel and hammer breaking stone. They are renovating something behind the ticket booths. It is unclear whether water services can be used; there are two openings, apparently for emptying black water, each with a hose, and little more.
They let cars in, TERRIBLE! The site is very good for vans, with wide spaces, next to the village and all services. There is a man at the entrance; he should not let cars in. Vans parked in double rows, badly parked cars—far too much chaos. They should limit it to vans only, since that is what this camper area is for.
Good if you want parking to visit the town or fill up/ dump water but not so great to spend the night. Especially compared with the Camper Park at the top of the village which is about the same price, with open green spaces and nice views. We left the carpark & stayed at the camper park.
Nice quiet spot, friendly staff and locals. It's a bit tight for big rigs (11m) but with a little work it made it in. Only 100km from Bilbao so it was a good first stop after the ferry.
It is a beautiful place to sleep. I had an issue with the water, called the phone number, and they solved it immediately.
Really very close to the historic centre. We parked there while visiting. Rate by the minute: €0.04, or €2.40 per hour. Plenty of spaces at this time of year. Truly perfect for long vehicles.
There is no electricity—must eat inside your vehicle.
Aire located five minutes from the historic centre, well equipped, clean and quiet. €14 per 24 hours, including grey- and black-water disposal and fresh water for filling. Perfect for us.
Close to town, with grey- and black-water disposal. Bins available. €14 for 24 hours. Quiet.
Okay for one overnight stay. Unfortunately there are no toilets, so people relieve themselves everywhere and leave rubbish behind, which is a shame. There is a large rubbish collection point right next to it. €14 for one night without services is too expensive. You are also not allowed to set up chairs and a table, although we did so anyway.
Very quiet at night, much activity during the day considering it is August. Grey water is in one place and black water in another, but people dumped wherever they felt like it. Then we wonder why we are not respected. Anyway, there are inconsiderate people everywhere. Recommended site.
We parked at this aire and filled with water. About two hours to visit the beautiful village and do some shopping cost us €4.10. The charge is €0.04 per minute.
A very well-located car park, 100 metres from the historic centre, with a restaurant, supermarket, laundry and butcher 30 metres away. However, it is not a motorhome aire and currently has no grey- or black-water area, although it has a drinking-water fountain. Camping is not permitted.
One of the few car parks in the village where you can park your motorhome to visit the town. The good thing is that you pay by the hour; it is not especially expensive.
Well located in town. Grey- and black-water disposal and fresh-water filling available. But hopefully the trees will grow soon!
Private parking, no toilets, with water and a disposal area. Too expensive for the services provided. Overnight stays are allowed. Very close to the village.
Very expensive. They charge you for taking even one extra minute beyond the 15 minutes allowed to exit, and they make it difficult because the grey-water, black-water and fresh-water points are separated. You have to search for them, and the 15 minutes pass inevitably. A rip-off.
Parking near the centre, with shops, restaurants and a small supermarket five minutes' walk away. In our case the ground was okay, but it could become muddy in the rain. We also slept there: quiet and peaceful.
