Quiet riverside parking, unreliable services

On July 20, 2016, the water was not working, but it still took the two euros. They should at least put up a sign or seal off the tap, since according to another user it had already not been working a few days earlier. Otherwise, the apartment is fine and it is a pleasant place.

Quiet in July, with the area half full. I had left the dogs’ water bowl outside; it disappeared early in the morning.

Parking for about thirty vehicles, flat, on asphalt, beside the Lot, a few minutes’ walk from the town center. Unfortunately, quite noisy at night, especially due to barking dogs. The water service was out of order.

Spent the night peacefully; decent pitch.

More than just an aire: clean and pleasant surroundings, secure, with the national or municipal police passing regularly. I am quite large with my car transporter trailer, but I fit without inconveniencing others. Thanks to the local authority that manages it.

Very well-located parking, but the only toilet is NEGLECTED. It is also a shame that people are not more considerate of those who want to use the toilet after them.

Parking only, much too narrow; the waste-disposal area is narrow too, so we had to reverse out again. Over 8 meters is a problem; with a trailer, there is no chance of reversing.

Jack07. The night of May 29–30 was quiet and cool! Ideal for buying local products at the market and visiting the nearby town and cathedral. An example for other towns!

Three stars only because the parking spaces are far too narrow; you can barely get out of your vehicle with a neighbor beside you. Still, it deserves credit for existing and being right in the town center.

A free, quiet, pleasant motorhome area beside the Lot and close to the town center. Toilets are also nearby. All services are free—gray and black water disposal—except drinking water, which costs €2 per 100 liters. Thank you to the small town of Mende and its residents for this welcome. A fine example for much wealthier towns.

Clean area very close to the pedestrian center. I recommend the products from the butcher and delicatessen at 7 Rue de la Rovère. The young artisan makes sausages to die for—flavors you do not often find.

A very good area with paid water (€2 for 10 minutes) and gray-water and toilet disposal. Thanks to the municipality; after traveling hundreds of kilometers, this is the first one we found, and it is reliable too.

Spacious, quiet place to spend the night. I took a detour to fill the water tank, but unfortunately there was no water available and no information about it.

The area filled up quickly in the afternoon. Long parking bays but quite narrow, always some who like to park over 2 bays !. Close to old town, well worth a walk around, with all amenities. A beautiful, peaceful place in the center beside a small river. We were here in December, and because of the heavy rain the river had become a raging torrent. We were advised to park higher up in the center. That worked at the bus station. Both places are free.

Pitches of good length, a little narrow, but since only parking is allowed, they are sufficient. Free, allowing you to explore the town and have a meal at a restaurant (thanks to the municipality). Good area for visiting the very pretty town and for sleeping one night only. The motorhomes are rather tightly packed. The Lot runs beside the area.

We stopped to visit Mende and discovered a small Turkish restaurant, Cappadoce, near the cathedral. Very good value for money. Thanks to the municipality for welcoming motorhomes. The service point was out of order, but black and gray water can be emptied. You must clean the cassette yourself.

Perfect area, spacious pitch; I managed to fit in with a van and trailer. However, the car park is extremely noisy, with music and people sleeping in cars and leaving their engines running. Choose the spaces at the back! The town is just steps away.
