Town parking, bus noise

We slept here with several 5.5–6 m vans without any problem because the motorhome parking area was full. Some cars at night, but it is fine for going out to dinner in Cangas and walking back without driving.

There are fairly long spaces, a little narrow; we parked vans of almost 6 m within the lines. Some noise because it is near the bus station, three minutes' walk from the centre. On the downside, some people emptied their tanks in the parking area so they would not lose their space, leaving a bad smell, and others parked more than 1 m outside the spaces. Then we complain that some places do not want us.

There are few spaces for motorhomes. We arrived late to park in the area opposite and decided to park here, even though several motorhomes had parked very tightly, leaving no room for others in the large spaces. Despite that, we parked in the small spaces; our camper is large, but we managed to position it tightly enough not to be fined.

Very close to the bus station and the village is just a few minutes' walk away. We spent two nights here without moving the vehicle so as not to lose the space, since there are very few for the number of vehicles.

Parking next to the bus station for going up to the Covadonga Lakes. Very narrow spaces. You can walk to the village.

No services, two containers nearby.

Important: the vehicle must not extend beyond the marked lines; the police pass by taking photographs and issue fines. Spaces are sloped and narrow. The good thing is that it is right next to the bus station for buses up to the lakes.

The description does not match the indicated location. In this parking area there are four or five spaces for vans at the back as you enter. Unfortunately, they are often occupied by cars. We slept well. Ideal for taking the bus to Covadonga.

Yes, be very careful not to go outside the lines because they issue fines even if you are inside the parking area and have paid. Be careful!

Beware: the local police fine people at night for parking outside the lines and do not leave a notice, haha. In my case, with a 6 m vehicle, I doubt the wheels were outside... I will ask them for the photo. Next time I will park in the middle of town, since I have a delivery van. No comment... thanks to the inconsiderate people who occupy two or four spaces; I have seen them.

We tried to enter twice but could not; it is extremely overcrowded, with cars rushing around everywhere. If you like peace and quiet, it is better to service your vehicle and leave. You do not have to pay to use the service area; simply enter, do what you need to do and leave.

The truth is that I think they are ripping us off by charging for parking there. As soon as you enter, they charge €3 and tell you that you can stay only one day, while next to it there is a sign saying parking is allowed for 72 hours. On the other hand, it is a very brightly lit parking area, which attracts swarms of flying ants that get into the vehicle and it is quite disgusting. The good thing: it is spacious and there are toilets nearby at the bus station.

Parking is NOT free; entry costs €3 and you can stay for a maximum of 72 hours. The person collecting payment is absent for a while at midday and at night; if they are not there, you do not pay. There are approximately 23 large spaces for motorhomes; you can park in car spaces as long as you do not occupy more than one. WARNING: the local police check license plates at night and you will receive a fine for an infringement. There is a fountain.

Asphalt parking area, but according to what we were told, overnight stays are not allowed and are subject to a fine. The police pass by continuously. We stayed in the other permitted area and saw people here… but I think it is a risk to expose yourself to a fine or being thrown out in the middle of the night, depending on their mood… it comes down to luck.

Huge parking space, well maintained and with good services.

Good area for visiting Cangas, near the station for connecting to Covadonga or the lakes. Note that it is not free, but only costs €3 for 72 hours. I am not giving it 5 stars because the spaces designated for overnight motorhome stays are close to the road, and the noise is somewhat annoying.

We used this motorhome area only to use the service point, which we found clean and functional.

Free parking; grey and black water can be emptied. There was a strong smell of manure and many flies. It is a few blocks from the town entrance. The view is not good compared with other places.

Only suitable in a pinch. When we arrived it was practically full, with some motorhome owners occupying several spaces and at least a dozen people having dinner in another space, with awnings, tables, chairs and making a racket. Very unfortunate. In addition, the noise of doors from small vans and other vehicles did not stop until 1 a.m. I would not return here to sleep.

This parking area does its job: water, grey water and toilets. We did not sleep there, but the place served us several times.

Spent a few nights here and it was great. City is not even a 5 min walk. There are services and all for free during the week. On Friday mornings, the city starts charging to park for the weekend only. Also, have heard that if you take up 2 spots when you park, you will get a ticket. Make sure to take up only 1 parking spot if all camper van spots are taken.

The town is beautiful. Facilities were good. The aire is noisy at night and in the morning. Very close to the road and bus station.

During the week, you can stay for free at the motorhome site. At weekends, €2 must be paid to access the car park, and use of the designated camper spaces is monitored. The municipal sports centre near the site has showers for €2; at the roundabout toward the village, turn right. Ideal location for the Lagos de Covadonga.

During high season, you have to pay €2. Nearby is the municipal sports centre, where you can shower for €2. The showers were clean and had hot water.

We slept there for one night before leaving in the morning for the Lakes of Covadonga. Highly recommended spot, quiet at night and full of motorhomes. There are also facilities for emptying grey and black water, although we did not use them. Highly recommended!
