Level gravel area, no grey-water disposal

Generally okay. It is a shame that, even after a year, bins are still missing and the site has not been completed. The road noise is also quite disruptive, especially because it starts again before 6 a.m. At night it is okay.

Everything was excellent; we spent four peaceful nights here. Booking via the QR code worked smoothly, but payment did not, although we were able to do it easily at the valley station. We also received the Allgäu-Walser Pass there. You can easily take the bus from there anywhere. With children, the Mounteens Detective Trail at Hündle and Imberg is worthwhile. Great options for kids, as well as stroller-friendly hiking trails.

We stayed here for one night. It was okay, but there were no bins, so every camper staying there was walking around with rubbish bags—we could not find any disposal point. There were no small bins in the toilets either. We met the owner and, like our neighbors, asked whether we could stay until 5 p.m. He said yes, no problem. When leaving, the barrier complained. Although we had not been there for 24 hours, it was very annoying.

The site is below Hündle. Still somewhat makeshift, but almost everything works. No grey-water disposal. Electricity is available on the eastern spaces. The entry system with cameras is great; motorhomes are additionally registered via QR code. The online registration system is typically German. A disaster. Each person must be registered individually. People without internet access can register at the valley station. A dusty business!

I really do not understand why everyone complains about the payment system. You can also pay at the Hündle cable-car ticket office, which is what I did; it was completely uncomplicated. And to those complaining about the tourist tax: you pay it everywhere! The parking area is perfectly located for hikes to the Buchenegger Waterfalls and Lake Alpsee, or for cycling tours. Waste disposal could still be improved.

The location is great for day trips and okay for overnight stays. That is about all. There is no waste disposal. I think the €10 parking fee is reasonable, but the €3.50 per-person tourist tax is outrageous. You already pay for the overnight stay, spend money at the mountain huts, and then are charged again. If you stay somewhere off-site and free, you pay nothing. It is not fair.

It is best to avoid places with such a payment system. We will.

Basically not bad, but... online registration is a disaster, and the option of paying at the mountain railway ticket office is very cumbersome: queue up, fill out the form, then wait again to be served. Well... Sanitary facilities below construction-site standards: one container per gender, extremely inadequate. No grey-water or rubbish disposal—an absolute no-go.

I would say the site itself is still under construction, but it is okay. The services are good; grey-water drainage is missing, and rubbish cannot be disposed of either. Unfortunately, the payment website is a data-harvesting operation that keeps every privacy advocate awake at night. Hence two stars deducted. Absolutely unacceptable.

Absolutely dreadful payment system! It is outrageous how much data you have to provide on some dubious website belonging to some dubious service provider! We had to stay here because of the children, but we will certainly never come back and would not recommend this place to anyone.

No words... a construction site. In that case, it should at least be free until the site is completed. Electricity temporarily unavailable.

Currently not yet completed, but already usable. The access lane is paved and the spaces are gravel. Electricity is available for €0.70 per kWh, and fresh water costs €0.10 per 10 liters. Toilets are available, and wastewater can be disposed of. There is almost always a free space somewhere, but perhaps no available electricity hookup.
