Parked at the beginning with a 7.5 m vehicle: two spaces. Super quiet and a park nearby for the dogs. Free on Saturdays and Sundays! Use the spaces not reserved for residents!
this is a residential street ,I habe a camper van but would never dream of parking rigjt in front of someones bedroom, shame petition on to ban campers because of this
We spent an excellent 3 nights here in the city centre with no issues was also lucky to have the fringe on when we were there. Free on weekends - there is also the pool around the corner that has shower facilities for 2 pounds.
It costs £4.60 per hour.
The prices are now £4.10 per hour, with a maximum parking time of 6 hours. Just continue towards “The Grange.” There you can park for a maximum of 9 hours for about £10.
We had our e bike stolen from the back of our campervan whilst we were in it at midnight by two men in balaclavas so beware…… police came very quickly and said such thefts are common
Perfect spot for the Fringe at the weekend.
We stayed there from Friday evening until Sunday morning. We only had to pay on Friday for 90 minutes using the RingGo app; parking is free at the weekend. Not completely quiet at night, but a great location, and you can reach the centre on foot within 15 minutes.
Found ourselves in Edinburgh unplanned and during the Fringe when all campsites were booked. Convenient to walk into the centre, and we found a space for our small camper. We moved to a side road off the terrace at night when there was space as we didn't feel entirely comfortable with sleeping there and felt less conspicuous. Survived the night without trouble. Toilets only open 10-6, though.
We found a space fairly easily at around 4 p.m. When paying for the parking, we realized that we had paid £6 for 1 hour 30 minutes, which was very expensive. The next day it cost more than €23 for 6 hours, so we left. When leaving, a car was parked in front of us—not in a parking space—and we had great difficulty getting out.
All the other parking areas were full; here we found a space without any problems. However, parking also costs £4.20. At the parking meter, you can pay only with coins or through an online app.
Currently under construction, and not easy for a 7 m motorhome.
