Been here?
A spacious, paid motorhome campsite beside the Trondheim Fjord, with attractive views and a quiet setting away from busy areas. Electricity, water, showers and toilets are included, and grey- and black-water disposal is available. The sanitary facilities are generally suitable, although cleaning and overflowing rubbish bins have occasionally been a problem.

Very beautiful view, very quiet place, helpful owner, nothing to complain about, perfect. You couldn't ask for more.Translating
Excellent campsite. Away from the hustle and bustle. Nicely laid out. The sanitary facilities were perfectly fine, especially since there were hardly any people. Tautra Monastery Island can be wonderfully explored by bicycle. At the monastery ruins there is a small restaurant with good island beer and good food. The service facilities are fine.Translating
We were here for the second time, after 3 years. The location and facilities are still great, but it wasn't cleaned for 3 days and the bins were overflowing! What a shame! If we come to this beautiful area again, we'll go somewhere else—there are enough alternatives with hopefully clean sanitary facilities.Translating
Great campsite! Spacious, right by the water, with very well-maintained sanitary facilities. Fair price. Good place before or after visiting Trondheim.Translating
A great place in the off-season. We were almost alone and could really enjoy the view. The sunset was a dream! One washing-up room and two rooms with toilets and showers. But that is more than enough in the off-season. The owner came in the evening to collect payment.Translating
This place is ideal for winter camping. All services are available, the sanitary facilities are clean, and the owner is very friendly.Translating
Beautiful campsite. You can't complain for 300 NOK. It was still very quiet in the off-season and there is a beautiful view of the fjord. There are 3 toilets, 2 showers, washing machines for an extra charge, drinking water and electricity at the site, as well as facilities for disposing of grey and black water.Translating
A lot of space for the individual pitches. Almost every pitch has a water tap and hose. Only 2 showers with toilets. For a site this size... but no problem in the late season.Translating
Clean shower/toilet. The site is relatively level and nicely laid out, with plenty of space. Nice owner (speaks some German) collects payment in the evening. Electricity, water and shower included. Beautiful view of the Trondheim Fjord. We stayed here for 3 nights. From here you can walk across the causeway to the island and an old monastery ruin. I would come back.Translating
Many thanks to Linda and Harald for the wonderful days at Øra motorhome campsite. You really made us feel welcome. Clean and nice. The highlight was when the birthday cake arrived on the table—what can we say? A thousand, thousand thanks. We will come back soon.Translating
We cannot understand the many positive reviews. The site is extremely neglected; broken glass is lying on the ground next to a rubbish bin, and all sorts of junk is stored behind the building. We didn't even look at the sanitary facilities. Apart from the beautiful view of the fjord, I can't find anything positive.Translating
Repeat visitors. Great site right by the causeway to Tautra. Full view of the Trondheim Fjord. Very busy at weekends, quiet during the week. Gravel pitches, sufficient electricity. Full service facilities, excellent internet. The owner comes around in the evening to collect payment (also speaks German), naturally accepting cards! With a dog, walk along the fjord on the other side of the road. The causeway to Tautra is 3 km away! We'll be back.Translating
Very nice site right by the water. Showers, toilets and electricity included; a washing machine is also available. Wonderfully uncomplicated. As the sign says: arrive, choose a pitch and feel at home. In the evening the owner comes over for a chat and to collect payment. We were almost alone here and could also watch birds wonderfully. It was definitely worth the approximately 20-minute detour from the E6.Translating
Very nice and quiet place with a shot hiking/ running route close by. The facilities were clean and heated and all you needed.
Wonderful place, everything completely straightforward. Good for a trip to the island.Translating
Relaxed campsite away from the E6. Two bathrooms with showers, a small kitchen, and a washing machine. The owner goes around in the evening; you can pay by card.Translating
Very nice place, owner present but discreet... Washing machine in the small kitchen (€3), everything else is included in the 300 NOK. Large, heated and pleasant common room if needed. 2 bathrooms and a heated toilet. Site directly beside the water with waves and birds. Flat gravel and grass area. All in the silence of the waves... Thank you.Translating
What a gem of a place. Only ones here, right on the water front looking towards Tautra island. Great, clean facilities and 300 nok for everything, no extra charges apart from washing machine. However, when we caught up with the owner he said we couldn't stay here as a storm was coming in and we would be battered, but we asked if we could tuck our selves away next to his big shed and he said yes.
