Been here?
Free university parking with S-Bahn access to Potsdam and Berlin, suitable for overnight stays and generally peaceful at weekends. Construction currently affects parts of the parking area, but overnight parking remains possible and the entrance may differ from the listed location. The S-Bahn is nearby and clearly audible, while daytime activity includes pedestrians, cyclists and construction work. Campus cafés, shops, restaurants, Griebnitzsee and Filmpark Babelsberg are nearby.

Very peaceful and quiet. Close to S-Bahn. We spent one Friday/Saturday night here and nothing bothered us. A few people walk around here to the station. I don't know how many people will walk here during the work week when the University opens. Also, there is currently a construction going on here blocking a part of the parking, and it might be noisy in the morning during the work week.
The parking area is exactly as described, except that there is a construction site in between; you can still spend the night there. If you want to park on the other side, you have to enter via a side street.Translating
This place appears to be a large construction site. We could not park there, so we stayed on a relatively quiet roadside street. Free and without restrictions.Translating
Freely accessible, with the barriers removed, and well-lit parking at the campus. Partly closed because of construction. You can park level and are undisturbed at weekends if you ignore the S-Bahn line. With its paved surface, it is certainly a good option in bad weather, for vehicles that are not too long.Translating
A very quiet pitch. We stayed here for one night at the weekend. Highly recommended. The entrance is not at the indicated location, but one entrance farther on.Translating
Quiet for sleeping and convenient for visiting the city, with public transport nearby. Clean location that feels safe.Translating
A very good parking area, with good S-Bahn and bus connections to Potsdam and Berlin. The S-Bahn is easily audible. The Italian restaurant nearby is highly recommended. Little through traffic from students or cyclists. We would happily return.Translating
Perfect for spending one night: very quiet and with no services. We felt safe; we were alone. I recommend parking 7.5-meter motorhomes on the left, entering between the first two streetlights because of the bollard. The gap to the sidewalk is perfect.Translating
Great free parking lot. Spent 2 nights here. The S7 metro is a 5-minute walk away and takes you directly to central Berlin in 35 minutes. Construction starts at 8 a.m.; otherwise, it is very quiet at night.Translating
Great outside university hours. Quiet but not isolated. Free as well.Translating
Good, large parking lot. Sleeping there with a camper van and pop-up roof is fine if you use earplugs. The train is very audible, and many joggers use this place. Close to Filmpark Babelsberg, with a very good Italian restaurant a 5-minute walk away. Fine for one night.Translating
Good base for visiting the Babelsberg film studio. Currently, falling leaves from the trees. Television reception is restricted by the trees. There is enough space, though. The nearby railway is not bothersome. Surprisingly busy on Saturday, but we were still able to stay here peacefully.Translating
Perfectly fine for one night on your journey. We were there on a weekend and there was no one around, university building looked closed. Parking is level, however larger motorhomes will struggle and will need to overhang onto the footpath. We had a quiet evening there. The nearby pizza restaurant is very good!
Actually a beautiful and quiet place on weekends; if you drive through to the right, the motorhome can stay in the shade all day. However, the adjacent road is very loud until well after midnight. The lighting is also very bright and glaring, so you need a sleep mask. Nevertheless, many thanks to the university for allowing us to stay here.Translating
We slept here between Saturday and Sunday, a very quiet night, we felt safe, a quiet area and also good to go on a trip to Potsdam. A large parking lot in front of the university's student residence which is almost completely empty on weekends. No toilets for caravans
Great place. Quiet and lots of space. Cycling to central Potsdam takes about 15 minutes. No no-parking sign.Translating
