Railway parking, barrier may lock vehicles

Opening hours are strange and I got locked in for a night which wasn't a problem but may be for others. Donation based. Good safe park up.

Very quiet spot next to a heritage railway. River runs along the stone wall. No services but worth stopping for an overnight. One minute walk into the village.

Fab park up for the night. Quiet Sound of a stream behind. We donated £5 to the railway which is volunteer run. Cafe opens at 9 not 10 so google maps wrong when we were there. Has great cakes and breakaways We took the stream train to Slaggyford because who could resist that. Fabulous seeing all the lambs in the field

Came here to go to cafe and toilets ,lovely man working at the railway said he would open the toilets for us and the cafe opened 10- 3.30 parking is free during the day - cafe is beautiful with a good menu and decorated Beautiful and the toilets were spotless, we did not stay over nt as we had plans but walked along the rail route for 3 miles each way

Arrived here on a Wednesday just after 3pm. Was very excited to find this spot, however it was all closed up. Think they must have closed early but everyone around just ignored us.

We had a lovely quiet Saturday night here. The trains were running and the cafe was open. Everyone was kind and friendly. The barrier closed at about 4.30 pm and was opened at about 8.30 am next morning.

We had a very quiet and peaceful night in January , we were the only van in the car park which is mostly gravel and level . There is a café on the station platform which is excellent and also where you pay your £5.00 overnight fee , the owners were super friendly and offered water top up too .There are public toilets on the platform which are open during business hours,a ten minute walk into town

Great quiet park up just a 5 mins walk to town. Walks and hikes directly from the car park. The surface is hard with some gravel parts. There is a gorgeous cafe at the station. Really lovely welcoming people. £5 donation to the railway for the night. Do let them know you are there - they told us the gates aren’t open on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Spent a lovely quiet night here and felt very safe. Gates locked at 4:30 p.m.; the café owner was very welcoming. No services after 3:30 p.m. (toilets and café). Great beer and meal at the Cumberland Inn in town, a very short walk away. Lots of local walks. £5 donation to the railway, paid in the café.✦Translating

Turned up at 7pm. Huge sign outside the gated carpark saying the gates are locked everyday at 1630. Went to the other free car park where we had a quiet night
