This parking area is beside the Red Bull Arena, approximately 1.8 kilometers from Leipzig centre. Overnight stays are not possible. I do not know whether it is different when there are no events.
The pitches are suitable for vehicles up to 6.0 m without bicycles. They are bordered by curbs that cannot be driven over. Cars with trailers definitely cannot park here!
The stewards do not let campervans in. Even though we asked whether we could pay for two spaces, there was no way through. We then parked in front of the stadium. Currently, however, part of it is closed because of construction work.
Convenient for visiting the city and quiet at night—we parked away from the road. We paid €20, not €10 as stated in the description, for one day. Honestly, that is too much when there is not even a rubbish bin.
Overnight stay after the event was trouble-free.
When there is a concert—in our case Elton John—the car park manager says that motorhomes are forbidden. There is no sign saying so. Our guess is that motorhomes usually take up two spaces and reduce profits. Other motorhomes were already parked there, but they entered before the stewards arrived. We were probably unlucky. Ours was a 7.5 m semi-integrated motorhome.
