Day parking, no overnight stays

Perfect place to visit the town, but no chance to stay overnight. Under the bridge there is a zip-line above the river!

Of course I would have liked to see a stave church on the road trip, but I only noticed this one by chance and went straight to visit it. You don't often find free parking in the center at a tourist spot in Norway either.✦Translating

National holiday, lively atmosphere in the village! Very good place for a lunch break before heading up toward Geiranger (Route 15). We slept near the car-wash center.✦Translating

Parking for visiting the stave church. Good for a stop. The Bakery in Lom is recommended. It has many breads and pastries; they are very good, especially the multigrain one. The bakers are very friendly and also speak Spanish.✦Translating

This is a parking area for visiting the stave church. That is its purpose, and it is appreciated. It is free. There are rubbish containers. It should be used for the visit and then vacated to leave room for other visitors, as demand is high.✦Translating

Good level parking. no facilities but paying public toilet just 100m away. Also an excellent bakery and tourist information. re legality of staying the night we had no problems and there were no signs. We did get a very friendly knock on the van door at 9am from a coach official saying there was a smell of gas, not sure if that was an excuse. the adjacent Stave Church is very worth a visit.

Very convenient during the day as it’s super central (e.g. 1 min walk to the bakery and the bridge over the river and next to the church) but would personally not stay for a night for that same reason. Not sure whether it’s prohibited but it feels not allowed
