Beautiful, secure motorhome area close to all shops. Very friendly welcome from Sébastien, who is always available. It is possible to reserve by phone because it is often full.Translating
It could have been so nice, but unfortunately everything was already fully booked at the beginning of February. So be sure to reserve in advance.Translating
Motorhome area with five spaces inside the port, very well equipped and accessible to large vehicles. Sébastien or Julien welcome you on arrival and accompany you to your pitch. Butcher, bakery and all shops are accessible within 10 minutes. The only possible nuisance is the trains passing right next to the site, especially at night if you are a light sleeper.Translating
Back in the north. Third time at the port. A very nice service area, with a welcome that is always available, even on 1 November at 5 p.m. Thank you.Translating
Pleasant, quiet place at a small-boat harbour. Toilets and showers are in the container 100 m away. A very friendly welcome from Julien. We thank him for opening the barrier especially for us early in the morning. There is a huge Auchan nearby for refuelling and shopping. We recommend this motorhome pitch.Translating
Very nice place at the small marina. Not far from the town centre on foot. Unfortunately, there are only five spaces. Nice harbour master.Translating
A really great and quiet motorhome area. We were lucky and spontaneously got one of the five spaces, arriving at 4 p.m. We felt very safe and had a relaxing night. Our children could ride their scooters wonderfully, and there is even a fairly new, lovely playground right by the entrance barrier. Cost: €10 per night, very fair and perfect for travelling through.Translating
Perfect and easy to access. Remember to go to the harbour master's office first to register and pay; then the charming young man will accompany you to your pitch. We were even lucky enough to enjoy the boat trip offered by the municipality. Many thanks for this lovely gesture.Translating
We looked for the service point and could not find it, nor could we find the motorhome area. I have the impression that it no longer exists. Can anyone confirm this after me?Translating
Access impossible, at least this Sunday, 29 June. Roadworks on various streets and diversions made it impossible to reach this blocked-off street. No information in town!Translating
Very friendly welcome. Remember to call before arriving, as there are only five pitches. €10 per pitch plus €0.45 tourist tax per person, including drinking water and electricity. Showers and toilets are a little farther away. Lovely view of the port.Translating
Top welcome from Sébastien at the harbour master's office, currently located in a container 100 m before the entrance barrier! Quiet, secure place with a maximum of five motorhomes. You are quickly on the cycling paths or walking routes. Perfect for a weekend exploring the region. Well worth discovering!Translating
One-night stay at a beautiful and peaceful spot, with a super-friendly welcome and helpful service from Christophe, a very amiable man. We would gladly return. Fernand and Annie (Belgium).Translating
A motorhome area like we would like to find more often. Impeccable welcome and service. Julien is friendly, dedicated and available. Top-notch security and guaranteed peace and quiet. Congratulations to the whole team. I recommend this area, which is also undergoing major development. Congratulations, Michel and Mireille.Translating
Nice place to stay at the harbour, with extremely friendly harbour masters. Cheap, €10.90 all-inclusive. Call beforehand to check availability. Lovely walk with the dog along the Sambre. The drawbacks are the train that also passes at night and the huge floodlights, which mean it never gets completely dark.Translating
Very nice area with five spaces. You need to call beforehand to reserve. I will return; the staff member's friendliness is incomparable. Access to showers, toilets, all waste-dumping facilities and 16-amp electricity. Shops nearby. Really excellent.Translating
A wonderful place to stay, feeling very safe thanks in part to the cameras and barrier. Facilities such as water and waste disposal are excellent. Showers and toilets are still in containers, but work is underway to build permanent cabins. The manager is very helpful and extremely friendly. The location is very peaceful. Booking in advance is recommended, even at this time of year.Translating
Super area, with a superb welcome. Thank you for your professionalism. The town is beautifully illuminated. The previous review is completely accurate.Translating
A truly excellent place, with hot showers, toilets and all the services we need. It is warm, and there is 24-hour security thanks to the cameras. Sébastien is passionate about his work and the well-being of others, and is truly someone worth meeting. When you arrive at the large, bright red barrier, stop there and call the harbour master's office number. Within 30 minutes someone will arrive with a smile, explain everything and allow you to spend the night safely. We look forward to returning. Thank you.Translating
I arrived here and everything was closed. Perhaps I did not find the entrance, but that seems unlikely.Translating
A great site... a wonderful welcome... thank you for your professionalism. The town is beautifully illuminated. The previous review is absolutely accurate.
A truly top-notch place, with hot showers, toilets, heating, and all the services we need—even 24/7 security thanks to the cameras. Sébastien is passionate about his work and the well-being of others, and he is genuinely someone you should get to know. When you arrive, there is a large illuminated red barrier; park there and call the harbor office number. Within 30 minutes, someone will come out with a smile to explain everything and ensure you have a completely safe night. We look forward to coming back. Thank you.
I arrived here and everything was closed. Maybe I didn’t find the entrance, but that seems unlikely.
Very pleasant site with a view of the harbor. The captain is very friendly. Bring leveling blocks because the pitches are slightly sloped. A great spot.
Excellent welcome, very clean site, shower and toilet, close to the town and a shopping center, quiet at night, lovely view of the harbor. I recommend it. Thanks to the municipality. TV antenna works, 4G (Bouygues) works.
Great location and facilities, very friendly staff. Not too easy to find but persevere as it's worth the effort.
just spent 2 nights at the port. the staff are very friendly and helpful, Especially Sebastian who went out of his way to make us welcome despite not speaking very much English. we were invited to a free festival at the port on Saturday night. we also used a local supermarket and cafe/restaurant which we in the town square approx 10min walk away. we will definitely go back.
Luckily, we got a place without a reservation. Amelie, incredibly friendly like everyone here, speaks English well. The five pitches are directly at the harbor and all have water and electricity. Everything is monitored by cameras and well lit. The sanitary facilities are in a container and not particularly special, but usable. For two people and a motorhome, €10 including electricity, water, and sanitary facilities is very, very cheap.
Perfect for us, with the added bonus of a boat trip offered by the municipality. Thank you very much.
The site is very good. €10.90 per night with water and electricity. A free boat trip is available during the week, but you still need to register (if it is too busy, they do not accept people who have not registered). We were welcomed by Gwendoline, who was very kind. The operations manager is a bit full of himself. There is not much in the village, but there is a large shopping area about 2 km away.
I recommend this place for its peacefulness and security. The welcome was perfect; even outside the harbor office's opening hours, the person on duty will be there to open the gate for you. Electricity and water are nearby, and the sanitary facilities and shower are clean. My experience was over four weeks on site. I recommend cycling along the towpath beside the Sambre. I will come back.
Hello, my opinion of this site: honestly, absolutely top-notch. Sébastien's welcome is magical; he takes the time to explain everything, even though I arrived late. Very nice pitches and a beautiful view of the harbor. If you want one small negative point, a train passes from time to time.
Pleasant and secure place with a view of the harbor and the Sambre, at a very reasonable cost with all services included. But the town is very sad and gives off an air of poverty; most shops are closed. For walks along the river, the towpaths are almost nonexistent and completely degraded. The metallurgy plant opposite is unique in Europe and expanding rapidly.
Excellent welcome from Sébastien, very kind. Stopped for lunch. Thank you. Here again today. The motorhome area is very good. Sébastien's welcome was excellent. €11 all-inclusive per night.
Very good welcome from Sébastien, lovely harbor, very good value for money, pleasant surroundings. Do not hesitate to call; service is available 24/7. €10.90 including tourist tax for two people in a motorhome, with all services and electricity included. I recommend it; it is very clean, with shower and sanitary facilities. A beautiful place.
Pleasant surroundings and a friendly welcome.
What a shame, after more than seven hours of driving, to find the site closed and therefore full, forcing us to drive further to somewhere that would be open. Really disappointed.
Excellent, even if the view is not inspiring—there is a view of a factory—but it is quiet because the factory is going to close. Great welcome from the harbor captain.
