Lakeside parking, road noise

Very good place to sleep without paying in Switzerland. And the landscape is very beautiful.

I spent the night here, beside a fairly busy road, but slept well. No police checks, and I was the only one there. A couple of cars stopped in front in the parking area during the evening. Nice place with views of the mountains and lake. There is room for two vans or one motorhome. I have a VW T5 California ☀️

Five stars for what it is: a parking lot. Directly by the lake, next to the road. Yes, cars drive by even late at night, but it did not bother us. The police were also there briefly, but only looked around and moved on. Definitely worth staying!

Beautiful view of the lake, but noisy and quickly full. Perfect for one night.

Very good for spending the night. We arrived around 10 p.m. on July 11; another 7 m camper van was present, and we managed to level ourselves for a good night’s sleep. It is slightly set back from the road, but remains noisy until late at night—not bothersome if you are used to it. Convenient for long vehicles, as Lucerne’s public car parks are intended for smaller campers.

We came here mid September at 3pm and there was plenty of space to park up. Some spots are a little slanted. Right on the lake with benches nearby and beautiful views. Noise is a little loud at night as can be expected.

Amazing viewpoint, several camper fits on the side. It also has a small "beach" with stone steps into the lake. Bit of traffic, but not extreme. There is a 50 limit around the parking so most people pass by slowly.

The parking area is quite large, near the lake with a beautiful view and perfect for breakfast with your feet in the water. Some traffic, but we slept well. The downside: the area is not very clean, and motorists and campers regularly stop only to relieve themselves in nature.

Directly by the lake, plenty of space, great view. However, we barely slept because of the traffic. The road is very loud, and traffic does not stop even in the middle of the night.

Great stop over, free, 10/10 views! There are no services at all, so take everything with you ☺️ it is a large area but does get VERY busy, especially weekends, stayed over on a Saturday night and was blocked in most of Sunday.

Great spot between the lake and mountains. A little road noise, that’s all. Busy in the afternoon because it is convenient for water sports. We arrived at 12:30 and got a place at the back. 7 m motorhome.

A breathtaking view of the mountains and lake, with enough room for five motorhomes. The spot is apparently well known, so do not arrive too late. Unfortunately, there is road noise, hikers who arrive early to park, and car horns, hence the four stars.

Beautiful place! Beautiful view! We did not find the road noise too terrible; we barely noticed it. Nearby, 800 m away by walking along the lakeside, there is a campsite with showers :)

Beautiful view. Lots of traffic during the day, none at night. Unfortunately, we had the “bad luck” that roadworks were taking place and the red lights were positioned there.

Parking lot next to road. Free to stay. Great spot next to lake but we did have a lot of vehicles arriving late and lots of traffic noise from about 6am. Quite noisy once road was busy. Sign with rockfall warning from above but no rockfall evidence in carpark.

Just a parking lot, beside the road and lake. We spent a very pleasant afternoon swimming and had a very peaceful night. I am not giving it five stars because it is not really a motorhome area and has no services.

Perfectly fine for one night. Close to the mountain railway’s lower station.

Free and fairly large. Beautiful view of the lake. Beside the road and somewhat noisy, but perfectly acceptable for one night in transit.
