Unnamed Road, FK8, Aberfoyle
Been here?
Permit sites are located along a 14km one-way gravel forest drive through the Three Lochs area. Sites must be booked in advance, and the road is closed between 4pm and 9am for permit holders, but it is currently closed. Individual bays vary considerably, with some steeply sloping; a flushing toilet is about 3 miles away.

Was on D2 which slopes a little too much to be comfortable, thought that D4, E and F looked good spaces. We walked to the car park where there is a flushing toilet but it's about 3 miles each way, ok if you have a bike otherwise a bit of a trudge. The area is beautiful, and peaceful after 4pm.
Road currently closed.
Some places looked great buts others not so much. We stayed on D4 and it was so sloping not even chocks could save us. D5 looked good and E too from what we could see. Some others near the loch looked horrendous (slope wise) and there’s no way you could actually sleep there. A great idea, and a great forest drive but not quite there for us.
We booked a bay D2 and it was a lovely little spot. Overlooking mountains and forest, you can also hear the steam. Very quiet as it is closed between 4pm and 9am unless you have a permit. Bring anti midgies stuff as there is a lot of them there!
Lovely, in nature, wild camp. Little stream to wash. We booked a permit for space M which wasn't recommended because it's outside the actual drive which they lock overnight so had quite a few passing cars . Also close to the road and the evening had a few cars and motorbikes racing past.
