Port ostréicole, 33510, Andernos-les-Bains
Been here?
This motorhome area near the oyster port charges €18 per night for parking only, with minimal or no functional services available (as of July 2026). No electricity, sanitation facilities, or designated spaces; the lot is unpaved and dusty. A supposed service area exists over 100m away. Walking distance to town center and oyster tasting; collection staff may arrive mornings.

Simple, undeveloped parking area! No services available, yet we still paid €18! The attendant even told us that the town hall had been informed that morning… a lie.
Very disappointing motorhome area for nearly €18 per night: few services, no toilets or electricity, and a dusty parking area. The water service point is more than 100 meters away. Being woken at 9 a.m. on a Sunday morning to collect payment is also unwelcoming. At this price, you can find much better elsewhere. Very poor value for money; I do not recommend it.
I confirm that the municipality collects €18 for the pitch. They come in the morning; if you are in your motorhome, you pay. We were absent and escaped the charge. Goodbye, Andernos—you will be without us.
Motorhome area that looks like nothing; municipal staff come to collect the €18 payment without identification, so we do not know whether they are really from the municipality. Avoid it. It is a shame because the location is good relative to the town and the cycling paths are not too far away.
Regarding the toilets, we contacted the town hall and they came to unblock them 10 minutes later. We need to be careful. However, I have been coming for years without paying, with no checks—it was customary. Now the town hall comes to collect €18. Really too expensive for just a parking area.
The cassette cannot be emptied; everything is blocked. Gray-water disposal is fine.
€18 for nothing—just parking, without electricity or services. The place is pleasant, next to the port and center, but we are leaving. The town hall could create a proper motorhome area.
A motorhome area that, in my opinion, is not one. I would call it parking on an unused strip of land: no markings, no electricity, no security, and impossible to put out a table. It is a shame because the location is pleasant, with oyster producers and boat departures to Cap Ferret or Arcachon. €18 per day; we preferred the Arcachon Les 3 Coccinelles area.
We stayed only one night and it was very pleasant. The town is beautiful, with oyster sellers whose oysters we bought and enjoyed. The area is very natural. We are continuing our tour; thank you for the welcome.
We spent three peaceful nights. There is plenty of space, and the fact that the pitches are not marked is not a problem in May, although it must be more difficult in summer. Very well located relative to the center. Free because the service machine does not work; we also took water for free. The only thing missing is electrical hookups for charging our bicycles. We will return.
I confirm the previous comment: the area is currently free, which is why I give it three stars, because if it were €18 for a place like this, it would be robbery.
The payment machine is near the double service area, not far from the small oyster museum, but it is currently out of order. I checked with the tourist office on Thursday, April 30. If it is free, I give five stars for the site, walks, oyster harbor and proximity to the town center. If it costs €18, you might as well go to a campsite.
Pretty, peaceful spot with water and waste disposal, but no electricity, located at the oyster harbor where you can enjoy delicious oysters. Thank you to the municipality.
We went there over Easter weekend 2026. Unmarked pitches. Some traffic during the day. Very quiet at night. We did not see a payment machine. Waste disposal 50 meters away.
A disgrace for the tourist-oriented town of Andernos, which dares to call this place a “motorhome area.” €18 to park without marked spaces, without electricity and in a flood zone. €5 for a little water and waste disposal. And yet we spend our money in the restaurants and shops.
What a sublime place… beautiful sunsets, a magnificent little oyster harbor with many oyster and seafood bars. We parked in various places, free of charge for us from March 9 to 10—apparently tolerated. We will return whenever we pass by the Dune of Pilat and the surrounding area.
We were there on February 8. Well, in an emergency it is borderline acceptable for an overnight stop. We had the impression that the municipality wanted to do something but did not know how to design and manage an acceptable motorhome site. There is still considerable room for improvement. We normally are not like this, but for this place we did not “find” the payment machine.
Very nice place that we visit regularly to enjoy the seafood right next to this area. This winter the parking meter was defective; that was better this way…
Perfect site, well located.
Thank you to the town for the site. Between land and sea. Close to amenities. And on weekends, there is a good rotisserie in front of Neto.
We had a good time there: forest, beach and lovely walks. There are no longer any abandoned motorhomes; they removed them. We did not always pay because the machine is still broken, and the same applies to the water. However, the Atelier restaurant is pure joy, and the Pruney oysters are delicious.
Thank you to the municipality for this area. I find it perfect: little network coverage, beside the bay, and many walks nearby. It is noisy because it is beside the road, so it will not suit some people, but for me it is ideal.
A disgrace for this beautiful town. Charging €18 without electricity, among the wrecks of motorhomes and boats, is unacceptable, especially since the cars occupying our spaces pay nothing. It is time for the municipality to create a proper area.
An increasingly poor area, far too expensive for the service. In addition, there are two abandoned and completely stripped motorhomes and two boats occupying the back of the area. A disgrace! The municipality should make an effort or remove this rather miserable area!
The site is ideal for visiting the restaurants. The pitches are very poorly maintained; the farther back you go, the worse it gets, with smelly garbage containers. The €18 price is outrageous for this. Hence only one star. It would be good if the municipality reconsidered the price and the service. After all, we motorhome travelers are also customers of the local restaurants and shops.
Unmarked area, so there is no space because of a lack of consideration, and it is very poorly maintained.
Very close to the port; the area is quiet at night. The town center can be reached on foot in 10 minutes. Many typical oyster bars nearby with reasonable prices. Good place to spend the night.
It was impossible to pay: the machine would not accept payment, and the contact telephone number only offers French, which we could not understand. The place is not bad, beside the port and within walking distance of the center.
You cannot call it a motorhome area; it is more like a parking lot, which makes €18 per night expensive, with water charged extra. The municipality should reconsider its approach. Motorhome travelers do spend money in local businesses!
As mentioned, the machine is broken. At the same time, paying for this… The nearby bins are full and the place looks abandoned. A shame, because otherwise the location is excellent.
Convenient because it is at the port, free because payment is impossible, and close to Olivier’s hut at Prunier’s for buying or tasting oysters. There are shaded and sunny spaces. Only waste disposal is possible. Currently packed, as is almost everywhere at the moment.
A motorhome area, if you can call it that, because to me it is parking on a roadside shoulder, with unmaintained bins and no services. It is a disgrace. It is a shame because the surroundings are very pleasant. Between ourselves, the comments are useless—nothing changes!
Good motorhome area for one night. No services; the service station is broken, and there is supposedly no payment system for parking, normally €18, which is very expensive.
Avoid. €18 for 24 hours to park beside the road on flood-prone land without services, which cost extra. Since the service station is broken, you can only empty waste tanks. In addition, most spaces are occupied by Travellers (obviously, since it is currently free). What is the town hall doing?
The area is not free at all; it is simply out of order. There is no water either, and the unsanitary, overflowing bins are disgusting. The grounds are pitiful.
€18 to park in battered roadside spaces with a service station that is miles away is outrageous. Too bad, because the area is nice. We will spend our money elsewhere.
