88900, Jämäs
Been here?
Jämäs is a lakeside parking area with a boat launch, beautiful views and very quiet nights. There are no services or garbage cans, and visitors should leave the place clean. The lake is easily accessible, while a nearby bridge can cause occasional traffic noise. Recent stays were peaceful, although greywater was reportedly discharged on the site.

It was very quiet. The view was fantastic. But I have to mention one thing. In front of us was a caravan with Finnish plates that constantly discharged its grey water onto the site. What can you say about that?Translating
Beautiful site!Translating
We spent a wonderfully peaceful night at this top site. We could even see the Northern Lights during the night.Translating
Very quiet, but the absolutely awful weather did not encourage walking... what a shame, because in good weather the place must be lovely. One drawback: for the very first time since arriving in Finland, there was litter in a few places... quite dirty.Translating
A beautiful site with a view of the lake. Ideal for an overnight stay, 5 km from Kuhmo.Translating
