CV-20, 12428, La Pobla d'Arenós
Been here?
A nature spot with shade, several parking places and access to a beautiful lake on foot. The parking areas are mostly level and reachable, although some sections are uneven and require care. Forestry staff currently indicate that the location is for day use only, not overnight stays.

Excellent spot that we have stayed in previously. This time we were told by the forestry folk that it is day use only and that we should move to the site by Arenoso (also excellent with wonderful views).
We had three wonderful days here. There are several staggered parking areas, all fairly level and easy to reach. We had great weather and could lie and swim down by the lake. I felt very safe and slept deeply. Unfortunately, there is a lot of paper in the forest; otherwise, it is very clean. We collected some rubbish. Leave the place cleaner than you found it.
Great spot for day or night. Beautiful view of the lake. Along this path parallel to the road there are perhaps two or three spots: one for a maximum of two campers and another a little farther on. However, the terrain is very uneven, and you have to be extremely careful if you do not have a 4x4. We slept wonderfully peacefully.
A space not far from the very quiet road. There’s space for a couple more motorhomes to the side of the track over the brow of the hill, and space for another at the end of the track. Beware, if someone is already at the end of the track there will be no space for you to turn and you’ll need to reverse back up the hill. Check first. Great place to spend the night. Quiet, just the owls.
Nice and quiet overnight spot; room for two or three campers, with relatively level ground. Unfortunately, there is no view, as it is in the middle of the pine trees. We had a peaceful night—not a particularly memorable place, but fine for one night.
Beautiful place to spend the night. Quiet and surrounded by nature. The reservoir can be reached with a 15–20-minute walk.
Simply incredible. Nobody around; deer and others came to watch us while we were swimming. The lake is magnificent, even though you cannot access it directly by car—it is absolutely worth it. The lake and its surroundings are clean. The parking area itself is covered with toilet paper, though; setting up a dedicated rubbish bag would not be complicated.
Awesome place, amazing views. Highly recommended! Quiet and felt safe. The lake is incredibly beautiful, accessible on foot via the gravel road leading down. Worth it!
Beautiful spot with breathtaking view. We came here in the rain and the "parking spots" were pretty wet. Better park in the highest spot of the road where the water can run down on both sides. Don't park next to the stones blocking the road down to the lake, because the hill will get a little river when there is rain. Street is very quiet, one car every 10 minutes, almost no cars at night.
Great! A quiet night.
We stayed at the first spot along the path (see last comment) for one night. It is easy to access and has a very nice view. It is still quite close to the road that’s why we give it 4 stars. But the road is not very busy at night.
The last comment about the stones refers to a path that continues farther into the forest. On the road before these stones there are three parking spaces in total: two level ones without a view, and one, visible in the photo with the two buses, with a beautiful view at the beginning of the path. This is a beautiful place—highly recommended.
Access has been blocked by stones, so the exact spot is no longer accessible. However, there are other parking options at the beginning of the path.
A very quiet place in the middle of nature with excellent views. We slept alone and could put out chairs and a table and cook. It is very easy to access with any type of vehicle. 100% recommended!
Magnificent elevated view and a very peaceful spot, thank you!
Nice place in the forest. Please keep it clean. I saw a lot of toilet paper. So if you for whatever reason don’t have a toilet in your Van. Please be so kind and take ALL your stuff with you. Otherwise they are going to close it soon.
Dirt road accessible by camper and caravan, with views of the reservoir. A few kilometres from Montanejos, away from the crowds. Quiet area about 100 metres from the road. We spent the afternoon and night without any problems; there are plenty of spaces, so it is very peaceful. Incredibly quiet at night. Although the road is nearby, there is barely any traffic during the week. Monday-to-Tuesday night.
Spent 1 night here, very peaceful. Stunning park up on the way to Fuente de los banos... there are about 4/5 spaces for vans/motorhomes. On the way to Fuente de los banos we saw quiet a few spaces along the road where you would be able to pull into if this spot is full.
In the middle of a forest beside the road. Quiet at night, with no cars. Walk to the lake below. Keep it tidy and take your toilet paper with you. Do not make a fire; the fire brigade checks every evening.
Great view and a quiet night. We spent the night with another van. Close by were 2 more vans. The walk to the lake is around 15 minutes. You will drive 10 minutes to the spring.
Great view to the east of a beautiful reservoir.
Quiet place, with plenty of space for several vans.
Super-quiet and beautiful place, surrounded by nature. Spacious, level spots beside the dirt track. No phone coverage or services. I recommend getting up early and going to Fuente de los Baños, where the water is 25°C all year round. The surroundings are spectacular, and with luck you can enjoy the site alone.
Beautiful place, very easy to access, quiet at night, and fairly level.
Easy to find. Fine for one night. Few opportunities for cycling or hiking, but beautiful views and absolute peace.
