La Bienassise, 62340, Guines
Been here?
A spacious, green five-star campsite adjoining the owners’ family building, with trees, pitches and extensive facilities. It is about 10 minutes from Calais, with a free bus outside to Calais and Cité Europe, and is convenient for the coast, ferries and Channel Tunnel. The site has a shop, bar, restaurant, pool and walking routes, although roadside pitches can be noisy and Wi-Fi has been reported unavailable despite costing €5 each per day. A recent stay was described as expensive at €53.

a good site for families and close enough to the vets in Calais for the required worming. However paying high prices with non existed WiFi which is on top€5 each per day.shop on site was ok and the bar was passable to. I don't think I will be back for the price
Our 2nd time here, better experience last time. The snack bar service was ok and staff polite but tables not clean, cutlery not clean. Food just ok. We totally forgot to book a table at the restaurant which was such a shame, we tried to get a table and were informed NO, it didn’t seem that busy and there were plenty of tables and we were so looking forward to a last French supper. Real shame.
5* site, nothing not to like. Free, yes free, bus outside to Calais or to City Europe. Good size pitches, plenty of trees. There is a public aire de service outside the main gate, but you cannot park there. Ideal stop before the ferry
Excellent camp site for the end of a trip (while you get the dog sorted out!). Excellent staff, always helpful. Good shop, bar and restaurant. I didn't use the swimming pool but was told it was good. Supermarkets nearby (in Guines) and a short drive to motorway for Channel Tunnel or Ferries.
Far too expensive (€53) for the quality of services provided especially as the epicerie was closed and the bar had run out of nearly everything. The bar food was poor.
Third time trying here and every time it’s worse, first time we got shoved next to someone leaving at 3am who had no concept of time, second time we got shoved next to a full party of tents who were up until gone 1am partying and this time, third and final time, despite it been empty we got shoved next to another motorhome and got told which way we had to park so our doors opened onto each other, if we’d both had our canopy’s open they’d been touching we were that close
Lovely, very well-maintained campsite. The staff are welcoming. A little expensive for one night, and if possible avoid a pitch on the road side, as the traffic noise is quite loud. Sanitary facilities are fine. But we were not disappointed.
Ignore the ‘champagne taste on beer money’ moaners. Sites in UK and Italy are similar prices, as are bar and restaurant prices. Nice quiet site set amongst trees, many pitches with water. If you have hearing like a bat you may hear traffic noise some refer to. Staff are always helpful and pleasant. Facilities are a bit dated but always clean. Good place to start or finish a European trip.
Expensive but we always seem to get a great pitch as what we request when we book . You know what you get with this site close to shuttle and some great walking and running trails right from the site with routes supplied at reception .
Overpriced but did the job before getting on the ferry. Swimming pool closes at 6. Bar is very expensive.
stayed here 1 night before getting the leshuttle back to folkestone very over priced bit dated not that clean but served its purpose
We are staying here for one night. The site advertises itself as 5-star. The sanitary facilities are really very basic, with no sign of 5 stars. Wi-Fi unavailable, and the price of €37 for two people including electricity and showers is still too high. The grounds are well maintained, and the mature trees are very beautiful.
lovely big site, premium pitch for 2 nights, loved the shed with fridge freezer idea. toilet blocks x 2 and waste drops etc all clean and easy to use. grass pitches very soft due to rain, they could possibly revamp them to hard standing, overall pretty good site.
Been stopping here for over 25yrs and the pitches look like the could do with some TLC . Grass quiet long but the site is full and it’s the first sunny weather we have had so possibly with all the rain haven’t had a opportunity to cut grass . Bar very good .
