1 Świętego Franciszka, 19-300, Ełk
Been here?
This spacious parking area beside Ełk’s beach and lake offers attractive views, swimming, walking paths, and free daytime toilets and showers when open. Recent reports say it has become a busy meeting place with youths, motorcycles, and a nearby beach bar, making nights unsuitable for sleeping. Facilities may be closed out of season or between 6-8pm. There are no restaurants or pubs directly at the original location.

The parking area has meanwhile become, among other things, a meeting place for residents who gather at the adjacent new recreation area and jetty. Many teenagers, some riding motorcycles around, so it is no longer suitable as a place to sleep.Translating
We had a peaceful night by this beautful city lake. We were the only van here, others parked at the far end of the lake. Currently no showers or water here as out of season.
I have slept here before. It is a great, clean place where you can find peace and quiet. Bins are available. Walking paths run around Lake Elkie. Toilets are in the building at the ball court.Translating
Excellent parking place next to the lake, nice view, possibility to swim. A lot of space for many cars/campers/vans. Do not know if there is WC around the place, but there are outside showers.
Great place, even with free hot showers, but unfortunately, as already mentioned, very noisy because of the bar, with partying by teenagers almost all night. We were there on a Friday; perhaps it is different during the week. Great during the day, but for the night we recommend looking for another place.Translating
Small correction: one block farther there is a nice snack bar/restaurant. As for the evening troublemakers, they surround every asphalt parking area just as mosquitoes surround water. But remember, they were here before us—we arrived later!Translating
Parking area in a very beautiful location by the lake. Outdoor showers and good swimming spots. The toilet and shower building is free but open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. The major drawback is the nearby beach bar, where music plays all night and teenagers drift around. But use earplugs and sleep peacefully.Translating
Nice parking area. It was really quiet at night on weekdays. Swimming spot right nearby.Translating
Actually a nice place near the beach. Unfortunately the night is very noisy due to music and stupid people driving around in loud vehicles.
Arrived late in the evening; this was our second stay. Peaceful place with plenty of room for campers. Some cars and teenagers driving around, but they also have a bedtime. Down by the beach there are free showers, toilets, and other facilities during the day; it closes between 6 and 8 p.m. You can fish, swim, and walk around the neighborhood. It is 10–15 minutes from the city by bike.Translating
A relatively peaceful night spent in the parking area. Two other campers were also parked there. There was enough space.Translating
We decided against the neighboring campsite because it is right next to the beach bar, which provides musical entertainment. From the parking area you can also swim, and during the day you can use the changing rooms, toilet, and hot shower free of charge. At night it is somewhat restless, but during the week it is manageable. We felt safe.Translating
Decent enough car park with pleasant park and lake view on one side. Of course popular with families during day on a sunny Sunday but as they left in the evening, the tengers with loud cars arrived, with a lot of fast driving and suspect behaviour until at least midnight. Would have preferred to move but by the time you are in bed and realise they are still arriving.
