Actually a very beautiful campsite on the Ilmenau in the middle of nature. There is a large playground for children, a climbing park, and a canoe launch. However, in July there are youth groups here that are extremely loud, even at night, although quiet hours are supposed to begin at 10 p.m., according to the notices. The operators do not enforce this.
We camped with our bus for two nights in a beautiful spot under the trees. The first night there were three of us. The second day many parents with children of primary-school age arrived. That was quite pleasant. Lüneburg is beautiful! We cycled partly through the forest.
Very beautiful place, with free choice of pitch, in the middle of the forest, and very friendly managers. The restaurant is also highly recommended!
Beautiful, uncomplicated campsite with free choice of pitch. On Saturdays and Sundays there is a bread-roll service. From here you can easily cycle to Lüneburg or into the heath. The adjacent road is not disturbing, and it is very quiet at night.
Wonderful place for people who do not want to stand in neat rows. Nice operator, and the restaurant is good and lovingly run. Several benches and a sun sail provide pleasant places protected from sun or rain.
Now, in warm weather and without rain, the site is truly wonderful and idyllic. You can stay on the main site for €22 or on the short-stay pitches for €15. I liked the short-stay pitches. Electricity at €5 per day is too expensive. Sanitary facilities are clean, but the showers are far too small—about the size of a toilet. Because the motion sensor is poorly positioned, you quickly find yourself sitting or showering in the dark ;)
Very nice campsite with plenty of space for everyone. It is very natural, yet every pitch has water and electricity. The sanitary facilities are fairly new and very clean. There is plenty for children and youth groups during the season. Staff are very nice. One star deducted because the paths become very muddy in rain and some pitches are quite uneven. Excellent value for money.
I stayed at the site for one night and found it very cozy and inviting. The sanitary facilities were clean and sufficient for the size of the site. Small suggestion for improvement: arriving late, when it is dark, makes it difficult to find your way around. More signage would help.
Beautiful natural campsite directly by the river. Free choice of pitch on a large meadow or under trees. Sanitary facilities are clean and adequate. Unfortunately, water runs for only 3–5 seconds at a time, making showering or washing at the sink difficult. There is also nowhere to put toiletries in the shower, so shower gel has to go on the floor.
Very beautiful place to linger, with very friendly operators! Everything you need is available. We will come back.
A beautiful site with partly uneven ground. If you prefer something rustic, this is exactly right. There is a restaurant on site. Note that Monday and Tuesday are closing days, so unfortunately I cannot comment on the quality. The operators are easygoing. Bicycle and paddling tours can start from here. Suitable for dogs too.
