Toomullin, V95 P285, Doolin
Been here?
Overnight parking is available beside McDermott’s Pub, next to a river, when arranged with the friendly staff. The pub serves food and drinks and often has live traditional music, making it a convenient one-night stop. The car park may be busy, and morning noise from trucks loading or unloading beer kegs can occur.

A pub just as you imagine one: authentic, loud, old, and full of incredibly kind people. We were here on a Saturday and it was wonderful. Since I was worried I wouldn't survive the evening sober, I asked whether we could stay overnight. The answer was clearly yes. I even got a gluten-free burger and beer (ginger beer). We felt very comfortable.
Great pub, great food, good music. Quiet and peaceful parking next to a river.
Good for one night after having a meal at the pub. Noisy in the morning when trucks come to load and/or unload beer kegs at the back of the restaurant, which is next to the parking area.
Lovely crowded place and nice staff. We ordered each a Guinness and asked the staff if we could spend the night at their parking lot and they said it was ok. Good place for one night.
The bar staff were incredibly kind about letting us stay out back. There was a bit of normal noise when the pub closed, but we had a lovely night's sleep afterward.
Perfect for one night before or after visiting the Cliffs of Moher. You should arrive by around 4–6 p.m. at the latest because the pub gets very busy. We asked in the pub if we could stay for one night, and it was no problem at all. The night was very pleasant.
Very nice pub with delicious food, drinks and live music. Staff very courteous, overnight parking allowed.
The pub is great. Food is yummy, the trad music is fab, the locals are kind and the pub let us stay in the car park which was lovely. It’s a nice spot by the river. Only reason for not 5 stars is because it was noisy in the morning from 6.30am with workers.
A warm welcome. The place is very busy, so you need to arrive early to find a space in the parking lot. We found a place for the night. We ate at the pub while listening to Irish music. A stopover not to be missed.
We just asked at the bar if we could park up and have an evening meal. They were very friendly and welcoming. No services but what an easy walk to a lovely pub. Excellent trad music on and table service for food and drink.
They couldn't have been nicer about letting us stay in the car park. Excellent music, a few beers, and good food too.
Fabulous pub! Staff are so welcoming! Great spot to park up and enjoy fab music with Irish food, and of course some drinks and good craic.
Indeed, the owner agrees to let us spend the night in his parking lot. After a pint, we will have dinner and listen to traditional music in this pub.
We spent a very good night in this parking lot! We asked the server and got permission for a space. Good music and good food!
Ok for 6M van overhanging near the river. Food in pub is good. There's a nice covered area where you can take your dog while you eat. (At the back of the pub)
Super-friendly staff. Although it was very busy on Saturday evening, it was no problem, with the instruction not to occupy more than one parking space and to keep the restricted areas clear. That is self-evident to me. The food was delicious and the live music was very good. A genuine recommendation, especially since overnight parking is prohibited at other parking areas in Doolin and the campsites are rather expensive.
Night of April 31, 2025, and day of April 1, with a 6 m van. No problem staying in the parking lot; a server at McDermott's said it was okay. We ate there and had a beer in the evening. Typical music and authentic atmosphere. However, BE CAREFUL AT NIGHT: some very drunk customers stayed around the bar, played loud music for a long time, and even took drugs leaning against the van!
