38 Salita Rosario, 85010, Anzi
Been here?
A free, spacious and quiet parking area beside a drinking-water fountain, with excellent views at 1050slm. It is suitable for overnight stays and visiting the observatory, but reaching it requires a steep climb and the correct route is through the cemetery. A 2,60m passage and a 1,90m width restriction affect some approaches; the lower fountain is non-potable, while the upper one is potable.

Access is only via the cemetery unless you have a Panda. Or you can try it like I did and fail at the 2.60 m passage, then practice turning around in five moves. Fantastic view. I was only there during the day.
Convenient parking for visiting the astronomical observatory, with a fantastic view at 1,050 m above sea level. Convenient for spending the night: spacious and quiet, also suitable for large motorhomes. To get there, you have to tackle a steep climb.
We drove once through Anzi only to discover that the road allows a maximum width of 1.90 m, so we had to turn back. The correct route is via the cemetery and is easily manageable! We arrived perfectly at sunset; it was beautiful! We slept very well. The only disadvantage is the many Fiat Pandas speeding past the parking area into the village. Unfortunately, the planetarium was closed.
Wow! Incredible spot in the middle of the mountains. The fountain below is non-potable, while the one above is drinkable, according to the gardeners who look after the place.
