A large layby on the A272 between Steep and Rogate, hidden from the road by trees and overlooking fields. It is generally quiet, though some road noise is noticeable, and it can become busy. There are no services, but a nearby chicken shack sells free-range eggs for £2.00/box (6). A big bin is present.

stayed here Sunday night. slight road noise but shielded from road by trees. No tricks in layby. big bin. lovely view over fields in the morning very good spot
Very picturesque, very busy but very nice. Not the widest lay by, but manageable.
All quiet and a few cars and vans and one truck. Excellent spot.
Good for an overnight stop. Well off the road. One other motorhome when we stopped. Would definitely recommend.
