This family-run campsite beside 6 lakes offers walks, 6 hardstanding motorhome pitches with electric, and a pet-friendly toilet, shower and laundry block. It is open all year and has an on-site shop, bar and restaurant, with the bar opening only at weekends until summer. A 2023 stay cost £30 for two people and a campervan without hookup; restaurant staff have also been described as rude.

Lovely site with some stunning views and walks of the lakes that surround the site. Onsite shop for some basics. Would have loved bar to have been open during our 2 night stay, but only at weekends until summer. Mainly a caravan site, but around 6 hardcore stops for motorhomes with hookup and a group of pods to book too. Not far from some outside amenities, pubs and restaurants.
I will not be returning to this place, Rude restaurant staff.
The campsite is called Wyreside Lakes. It is a large site with permanent caravans and cabins, it's obviously popular with fishermen. There are six new spaces for caravans/motor homes and a grassed area for tents. We were charged £30 for two people and a campervan for a pitch with no hookup (20/04/23). Convenient for a stopover from the M6, but so are other sites and we wont stop here again.
