Industrial motorhome parking, no electricity

Good place to park, 15 minutes from the beach. You can hear the road a little, but you sleep well. Mercadona is right next door.

Thanks to the town council for setting up this motorhome area, ten minutes from the town, with Mercadona and Lidl next door. It is reasonably priced. This is how parking areas should be; all town councils ought to do the same.

Good place to visit Zarautz and spend the night. Next to the motorway. €10 from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.; outside those hours access is free. Emptying and filling facilities. Mercadona is right next door. Bus line 4 nearby takes you to the center.

Free and convenient emptying of gray and black water and filling with water. For anyone spending the night on the road in front of or behind the rest area: you can come inside; at night it is free! In any case, there is a little too much noise from the nearby motorway.

Pitches are free and located right next to a supermarket. It is possible to empty tanks and refill the water tanks; there is no electricity. The place is noisy, close to the motorway, and the air is polluted. To reach the beach, it is better to have a bicycle or a small camper, as access is not really suitable for large vehicles.

We spent one night there, arriving early, and the barriers remained open the whole time. We paid nothing and did not need any code or anything else. Standard water services, no electricity. Many spaces. Right next to Mercadona. We cycled to the beach and it was very good, with a bike path almost all the way. Quite noisy at night because of the road. Spacious, well-leveled gravel pitches.

On June 29, 2026, we found the parking area closed for construction.

Just a bare lot, although at least you can empty wastewater. Far from the beach and the town center. Since it is next to the motorway, it is quite noisy.

Very noisy at night, but you can shop right next door. We stayed one night to discover the town and surroundings, including Getaria, where the walk follows the beautiful coast. We wanted to stay a second night, but it was impossible because we had to wait; as a result, we were a little late and got a fine.

A shame for the town council, because villages like this should be much better prepared for motorhome tourism, just like our French neighbors. It has facilities for filling and emptying; otherwise, it is a paid dirt parking lot far from the sea. There are supermarkets nearby.

Good place for filling and emptying. Next to Mercadona and Lidl. It is dirt, so rain creates annoying mud and puddles. You have to keep the filling tap pressed the whole time. Staying overnight is paid, although there are no barriers; a camera monitors entry and exit. Filling and emptying are free.

We were able to fill up with water, empty tanks, and dispose of our rubbish here easily and free of charge. Recommended!

I give it two stars because it has filling and emptying facilities. Minimum stay fee €5, maximum €25—so if you want to go to Mercadona, you have to pay €5. The ground is uneven and muddy, with gravel; it is exposed to the winds from the town, with noise from trucks, cars, horns, and the motorway. P.S. I recommend Zufiria anaiak if you need propane; they have many cylinders and animal feed, and are in Zarautz.

The area is closed by wooden fences, but with rain, as on these days, it is completely muddy. It has emptying and filling facilities and supermarkets nearby. Quite far from the town center.

Only used the services and they were good and did not have a fee. The parking lot seems flat, has some puddles from the rain.

If you like sleeping with background noise, this is your place. Noise in the background, noise from the right, left, above, and below. It rained, and the parking lot turned into Shrek’s swamp.

Reasonable to start with; €5 per night in the low season is the maximum for this place. The location is not ideal, alongside a busy road with lots of noise, and the ground turns into a mud bath in the rain. There are water facilities, which is handy.

A disgrace. I am Basque, and this is intolerable. With beautiful places in Zarautz, they put us in an area for trucks and roads. The town council lacks sensitivity. Use taxpayers’ money to provide paid services of quality—we are not cattle! Artaburus!

I used the water services; everything was fine. The mechanism is a little inconvenient because you have to keep the button pressed the whole time. There is parking, but the place looks quite ugly and noisy.

Location: appalling, a 25-minute walk from the beach, and even on a Sunday the motorway is very busy, with constant noise. Access: the navigation system makes you drive around the town a lot to reach the area. Services: push-button water filling. Small area with dusty ground. Small children of motorhome travelers ride bicycles while motorhomes are maneuvering—little concern for their children.

Absolutely not... €10 to park amid incredible noise, just a few meters from the motorway. The only positive point is the services.

I wouldn't recommend it because Zarautz has many free parking areas, especially for vans, that are closer to the beach. This one is near the motorway (it didn't disturb our sleep, but many people complain about the noise). The ground can become muddy in the rain and puddles form. There are two supermarkets nearby, and the center/beach can be reached in 25 minutes on foot.

We only used it to fill and empty the water tanks, as the constant motorway noise means it doesn't seem like a good place to spend the night.

It is a fairly large and flat area, although it is still quite dusty. It is next to a Mercadona supermarket and a bus stop. The center is about 15 minutes away on foot and 10 minutes by bicycle, without too many climbs, so it is feasible even with an ordinary bike. There is no shade. The rate is €10 per day from 9 a.m. for 24 hours. Around 10 a.m. they come by and check who has paid and who has not.

A neglected area with a lot of noise. I don't recommend it; the only good thing is that you can empty and refill your water tanks. There are free areas that are much better than this one.

We arrived after dinner and the parking area was already full. It is just a gravel clearing with water filling and emptying facilities. We stopped along the road opposite with other campers, but although it is an industrial area, it is too close to the motorway and the road is busy all night. A very restless night. We found it somewhat expensive for what it is: a dirt parking area with no shade or trees. You can fill and empty your tanks without paying. Fine for one night, which is what we paid for: sleeping.
