Park-and-ride parking, road noise

Good overnight parking area. Free. Plenty of space. Somewhat noisy, but it did not bother us. Warning: the place is right next to the green environmental zone, but it can be reached without restrictions from the east.

We did not like the place at all. We stayed for about 40 minutes while looking for another location on the app, and during that short time we saw some very strange people, probably homeless. In short, we did not feel safe there.

Park-and-ride parking only on the right-hand side; the left side is private and costs €35. I recommend reversing into a space and going slightly onto the grass; it is also level. Connection to the city center costs €5 for up to five people; the return ticket must be purchased from the bus driver. Ideal for visiting Aachen until very late, even though the neighborhood does not necessarily inspire confidence.

I spent two nights here. I took the bus into town; cycling would also be fine, but walking is only for the hardy. The end of the road is also suitable for longer vehicles. You can hear the road, but it did not bother me. Good because it is free; no waste or water service, no services at all.
