A practical overnight stop in the Travelodge car park, separate from the fuel station where overnight parking is not allowed. Parking is currently free with no visible restrictions, and the site has toilets, CCTV, lighting and nearby Burger King, Greggs and a mini Sainsbury’s. The ground is somewhat uneven, with vehicles coming and going but little highway noise. Services are not currently open 24 hours, and Greggs opens at 05:00.

As a highway stop, it’s positioned well so that you don’t hear much of the highway noise at all. Parks aren’t flat but not bad at all. We had a good nights sleep here in our RV. There are vehicles coming and going but beats a highway service area any day! There’s food nearby if you don’t mind chains. Park away from the Travelodge if you can. Keep this free!
Great little stopover on the way north. Services are currently not 24h, and the fuel station is almost reopened. The toilets are ok, no visible restrictions and the car park is suitable for longer vans. Greggs opens at 5am. The car park isn't really suitable for HGVs thankfully although they are making an HGV park next to the fuel station, but this doesn't interfere with us.
"Good location for a quiet overnight stop. I parked in the Travelodge car park; if you have a longer van, you can reverse into the spaces to overhang the grass area. The site is well-lit and covered by CCTV, which feels very secure. Bonus points for having a Burger King and Greggs right on-site!"
Not pretty but does a job for the night when rest needed. Not too noisy & few other campers were here for the night
free services, please be respectful and give them no reason to change it
This is a service station.
Great location and very quiet. Felt very safe and convenient for toilets and food.
Great spot for an overnight stop on the A14. Tucked away in the Travelodge carpark - not the fuel station, where overnight parking is not allowed. Quiet, handy for Burger King and Greggs if open.
A few takeaways, not much noise at night, grass area to walk the dog. You can reverse in to hang over onto the grass. No charge for parking.
How nice to find a services with FREE parking and FREE Overnight Parking, in England no less! Must be owned by French?!!
Travel lodge car park which is free to use. we have used this stopover a few times. Feels safe and a bonus of a burger king if you are hungry which also has toilets.
