Been here?
This is a peaceful lakeside picnic area with seating and a small sandy beach across the road. Swimming, dog bathing, walking, and overnight stays are possible, while the narrow parking spaces can be inconvenient. The distinctive toilets are large, clean, and have warm water. It is generally quiet at night, though occasional motorcycles or daytime visitors may add noise.

Free place to park and spend the night. We arrived around 7 p.m. and found a space easily. Thirty minutes on foot from the city center; I recommend it. No difficulty parking with our 6-meter vehicle.
An oasis, the best toilet in Norway. Warm water. A place with plenty of seating. Across the road there is a narrow sandy beach where you can swim. Very quiet, as it is not a road with much traffic.
Best toilet ever, clean, spacious, wonderful!
I find my predecessor's comment totally inappropriate!!! Yes, the toilets are unusual and stylish. The view of the lake is beautiful. However, the parking spaces are quite narrow.
Rarely have I laid such an elegant vanlife egg.
Quiet and peaceful place.
Great place to spend a night. Pretty little church nearby.
Beautiful place for one night. The toilet is incredible, air-conditioned and super clean. Definitely visit.
Ideal for a lunch break, with the toilets as the attraction! Nice, quiet place; overnight stays possible.
Right by the road, but central and quiet. Next to it is a small wooden church. The bridge to the pass was closed, which may be why it was even quieter than described. Toilet available (yes, it is something different, but there is no need to overdo it). Waste disposal possible, benches available. We stayed here with a rooftop tent; one other camper was there. Paved surface.
9.6.25 we were alone at this magnificent place! quiet at night with, probably, one of the most unique toilets I've seen
All are correct except today June 7, 2025 the bridge over to the rest of the mountain pass is closed. Just fyi, for now we are backtracking to the other side. Beautiful washrooms, scenic lake!
Perfect. Quiet, great view, super-modern toilet.
A beautiful place to spend a quiet night. The site offers many opportunities to walk the dog and has several sandy beaches :) The toilets are very clean and well maintained.
This is a fantastic spot with benches, chairs, and space for grilling. There’s a public toilet, waste bins. It’s a taste of true freedom—this is Norway at its best.
A friendly place behind the church, on weekdays. Flat. And a beautiful wooden church with ancient stone walls around the little cemetery.
Attention! Do not park on the grass as shown in the pictures! It is an asphalt parking lot next to the place of worship. Great for swimming in the lake across the road, with excellent toilets, but the parking lot is popular with campers, so arrive early enough. Pay attention to prayer times, otherwise the parking lot is quickly closed.
Very beautiful spot by the lake. Lovely chapel next to it. Toilets also top-notch.
I can highly recommend this place. The toilets are very clean and it is very quiet there in the evenings. The mobile network is somewhat poor. Despite being close to the water, there were no mosquitoes when we stayed.
