We stayed here for three nights because it is a brilliant base for exploring Cancale on foot or by bicycle. Yes, the sanitary building is showing its age, but it absolutely serves its purpose. Bring toilet paper! Six of us with a large motorhome and no electricity paid €87.
Beautiful place, lovely view, small terraced pitches. Sloping ground. Only one sanitary block, which can be a problem if you are at the other end of the campsite, especially since the best pitches are occupied by long-term customers with twin-axle caravans. Rocky beach below the campsite is difficult to access, but a sandy beach is 10 minutes away via a narrow, steep coastal path.
A large, green campsite with access to the sea. You reach it via a steep staircase and a coded gate at reception. The snack bar is recommended, especially the pinsa! Reservations are not accepted. It is worth being there at lunchtime. Sanitary facilities are fine and plentiful thanks to the size. One night, 2 people, 1 car = €23. Family- and dog-friendly!
Beautiful, large, green campsite with access to the sea. Very picturesque. Great snack bar. We arrived without a reservation and easily found a place for one night. Would come back anytime.
Beautiful site with trees and sea views. Small bathing cove. Fair price. Pointe du Grouin nearby. Bar with small dishes and croissant service. Disadvantages: the toilets are unacceptable, with no toilet seats, toilet paper or soap. Showers cannot be adjusted and scald you. Pigeon infestation! The screaming starts at 5:00. You can constantly clean loungers, tables, awnings, cars and even the soles of your shoes. Sadly, two points deducted.
Lovely campsite from which you can take wonderful walks along the beautiful rugged coast. Friendly and efficient welcome, and clean, modern sanitary facilities.
Good campsite in a fantastic location. Everything you need. The snack bar is also highly recommended. Sanitary facilities are basic but clean. Good hiking routes from here to Pointe du Grouin and Cancale. For dog owners: the buses from Cancale to Pointe du Grouin do not take dogs! So anyone walking to Cancale must also walk back!
Excellent municipal campsite, very well maintained. The managers are adorable. All pitches have sea views. The sanitary facilities are a little old, but very well maintained. The snack bar, recently taken over by a very friendly new manager, is very good; the pinsas are excellent. Views of the campsite's centuries-old trees. Highly recommended.
Well-maintained site, sanitary facilities and service area somewhat dated, but quite expensive. The pitch assigned to us “with sea view” (140) was small and sloping; we would have left, but had already paid and a refund was not possible. We were able to move to another pitch (52), which was better. The surroundings are excellent, and the snack bar is very good.
Campsite with very clean sanitary facilities. Friendly staff ready to explain the various places to visit. Very pretty views from many pitches. The only minor drawback is that in rainy weather it is difficult to access some pitches because of slipping and mud on the ground. Bread available at 8 a.m. Reasonable price.
A wonderfully beautiful spot, with sea views from almost all pitches, in a quiet location. The GR34 passes by. Very friendly welcome. Very clean sanitary facilities (it is a 2-star campsite). Pitches are somewhat uneven, so levelling blocks are necessary. The only disadvantage is no small baguette service in the morning. But deducting a rating star for that would be silly.
We cannot agree with some of the negative reviews. Affordable, clean, everyone friendly. Beautiful pitches, some with water views. Warning: closes at 18:30! We were lucky.
A little expensive: €31 for 2 people and 1 dog without electricity.
Well located for hiking. Nice pitch. Sanitary facilities okay. The showers are hot. €35 for 2 adults and 1 child with electricity. You must leave before 11 a.m.
Campsite with all amenities: sanitary facilities, showers, sinks, laundry, easy water refilling thanks to the hoses provided, and grey- and black-water disposal. Very beautiful view and direct access from the campsite to the coastal path. Drawbacks: sloping, pitches in a row without separation, and somewhat expensive (€38.04 for one night in a motorhome for 4 people with electricity).
Pitch sufficient for a 7.5 m motorhome, clean sanitary facilities, perhaps a little expensive for a municipal campsite: €63.89 for 2 nights with electricity.
Correct welcome, pleasant and spacious pitch at the top of the campsite, very clean sanitary facilities, direct access to the GR34 and a nearby bus line to Cancale. Nothing to complain about; quiet place.
We were there on 20 April and were a little disappointed by the pitches, which are not very large for a big motorhome. Electricity is too expensive at €6. A nice walk towards Pointe du Grouin and a decent bike ride to Cancale harbour. You pay for the view and the location.
Very nice campsite for a trip to Cancale. Bus 9 runs hourly from up behind the roundabout. Quiet, well maintained, everything a camper needs.
Quiet location, reasonably well-maintained sanitary facilities. Pitches with beautiful views are for regular visitors or smaller campers, but that did not bother us. We had a spacious pitch and were right by the water anyway. Very nice base for Saint-Malo, an hour by bike. Nice little restaurant on the beach around the corner. Recommended.
Quiet campsite in April. Clean sanitary facilities. Pitch with sea view. A lovely evening walk on Pointe du Grouin right next door. Small detail not to overlook: you must arrive before 17:30, when reception closes, as reservations are not possible.
Grandiose view, direct access to the GR34 coastal path, baguettes and croissants at the site are delicious, everything spotlessly clean, staff very friendly.
Good little municipal campsite, really ideally located! Direct access to the GR34 and Pointe du Grouin. Sea views from many pitches! Very quiet during this Easter weekend.
Pleasant campsite in a very good location. Pleasant pitch at the back of the campsite. Adequate amenities. Close to Cancale harbour and the GR34, which allows for a beautiful walk to Pointe du Grouin.
We absolutely loved our stay here! The reception was warm and welcoming and we could even choose our own pitch. The views are simply breathtaking - some pitches overlooking the sea and Mont Saint-Michel are unforgettable. The campsite is quiet, surrounded by beautiful walking paths and there’s even a gorgeous dog greeting guests at reception:)The café is a nice bonus and the showers are good
Superb view from our pitch. Beautiful, very well-maintained campsite. Nothing to complain about. Lovely walks on the GR34 and restaurants nearby. A magical weekend... thank you.
Pleasant campsite at this time of year, pitch with sea view, clean sanitary facilities, squeegees available in every shower, GR34 hiking route right below the campsite, no bread service near the beach at the end of September, €26 for 2 people with electricity. We will return.
We do not find the site particularly good because it is very large, has few pitches with sea views, the pitches are relatively small, and we have experienced friendlier welcomes at municipal campsites.
Friendly welcome. Some pitches have wonderful sea views. Good, clean sanitary facilities.
Excellent: Ideal campsite location with magnificent sea view, direct access to Pointe du Grouin and the GR34 for walks to Cancale. Bakery service, sanitary facilities, waste-water disposal and playground. Poor: pitches are not necessarily level, welcome could be improved, and the price is a little high even in the off-season.
Dream location. The welcome was very friendly. We were free to choose our pitch. Simple but beautiful, with many trees. The sanitary facilities are old and borderline in capacity when the campsite is full, but they are cleaned extremely thoroughly several times a day. Bread can also be ordered in the off-season.
Excellent campsite for eating oysters in Cancale. Reservations are not possible. Order bread rolls by SMS the evening before. Wi-Fi does not work or works poorly. The GR34 coastal path runs along the campsite. Through a coded gate you can access it and also descend to the beach. There is a restaurant at Pointe du Grouin. €24.64 per night for 2 people. Electricity costs an additional €6.40 per night.
Beautiful campsite on a sloping site with many trees. Friendly welcome. We could see the sea between the trees and other motorhomes. Our pitch was sufficiently level. Sanitary facilities clean. Showers large enough and water warm, but temperature cannot be adjusted. Toilets cramped, without seats or toilet paper, and some flushes insufficient. Therefore only 4/5 stars.
Clean and quiet. Motorhome easy to access.
Very nicely located campsite. However, only very few pitches have sea views. Reservations are not possible; in high season it is strongly recommended to arrive very early. The sanitary facilities were clean.
Not an inexpensive campsite for the services offered (€31/night), with small, sloping pitches; levelling blocks are essential. Bathrooms not particularly clean. Fine for one night, but I do not recommend staying longer. Note: reservations are not possible; try to arrive no later than 11:30.
Very beautiful campsite. The manager is very pleasant. Very clean sanitary facilities. The pitches are adequate. Incredible view of Pointe du Grouin with direct access to the GR34.
