Praceta André Soares, 4715-122, BRAGA
Been here?
This free parking area is about 500 meters from Braga’s historic centre and is generally quiet, shaded, and fairly level. It has no services, tight turns, and limited spaces near the school; vehicles over 7 meters may extend into the street. School traffic becomes busy from 7:30, while arrival after 18h is recommended during term time. Reports conflict about overnight stays, with some visitors being asked to leave by police.

Free parking, ideal for visiting the center, very close by. No problems.
Parking close to the center. We spent a quiet night and had no problems. Shaded and fairly level area.
Good place to discover Braga. It is true that a parking attendant wanders around here, but I did not give him any money and nothing happened to my van. He does not seem like a bad person.
I spent the night there so I could visit Braga’s historic district. It is quite useful.
Depending on the time, you may not find a space. There are schools next to it and the parking lot is always full. If your vehicle is over 7 meters, the front will stick out into the street.
There is no parking or overnight-stay prohibition in this place. Calm and safe location. Close to the historic center. I recommend it.
At 10:30 p.m., the municipal officers kicked us out of the parking lot, saying that there is a municipal ordinance prohibiting overnight stays. Some Portuguese companions told us that the municipal officers had told them that, although the same ordinance exists, at the Bom Jesus parking lot they ignore it and you can sleep there.
Parking lot very well located for visiting the city. Spaces are quite small and the entrance is difficult for motorhomes over 5 m. No services. Quiet and safe. Just as we were leaving, a pair of police officers told us that overnight stays were not allowed there.
Very good place to spend the night, with the historic center very close.
Great for visiting the city. You won't find a space before 6:00 p.m. Difficult access for long vehicles.
This is a very quiet parking lot at night; from 7:30 in the morning things start getting busy because there is a school nearby and for an hour cars carrying parents bringing their children to school pass continuously. We were not disturbed because we were already awake, but if others want to sleep longer, it is good to know. The entrance to the parking lot is quite narrow and somewhat difficult for long motorhomes.
We stayed for New Years Eve and had a very quiet night. It felt safe leaving the van there while we explored Braga during the day and when we returned in the early hours of the morning. The turns are tight getting into the parking lot, so not really suitible for big motorhomes.
Very central and a very quiet area. It is true that when we woke up there was a harmless-looking parking attendant wandering around the lot, looking suspicious but with no bad intentions. For spending the night, the location is perfect.
Quiet place close to the city center. We spent a very peaceful night alongside six or seven other motorhomes.
We stayed there with the 6 m camper for about 2–3 hours. We were in the city within 15 minutes. The parking lot was rather full, so we were lucky to get a space. Otherwise everything was great, recommended.
Parking lot with about thirty spaces; several vans park and sleep there. We spent the day there but did not sleep. Very convenient for visiting Braga. There are trash bins next to the parking lot.
The neighborhood seems fairly safe and quiet. Free shaded parking, 15 minutes from the center.
Quiet and shaded place, 15 minutes' walk from the center.
We spent the day there; there was plenty of space and it is only 10 minutes from the center.
Convenient parking for reaching the center on foot in a few minutes. Quiet residential area. We spent only one night. Some cars passed by, but there was no problem. The curves are a little tight when entering, so it is easy to touch the curbs with the tires. Convenient parking nonetheless; we have a 7 m+ vehicle with bicycles.
The place is quiet and flat, but not very suitable for vehicles over 6 meters, with many residents' cars. It has good shade.
We went to a couple of parking lots we saw in the app, but left because the atmosphere and the people hanging around did not give us good vibes. Here we slept peacefully alongside four other campers. It is very close to the old town and there is a bakery one minute away for breakfast.
Excellent parking for visiting the city, which is about 1 km away. Very crowded during the day.
Unbeatable location; it makes up for the hustle and bustle of a city like Braga.
I arrived at night on August 5 and there was space to park. There was not excessive noise, it felt safe, and there is a spectacular, friendly café for breakfast one minute away on foot called Appetites.
Excellent shaded parking, if you can find a space.
Good place to park day and night. A bit noisy, but convinient
Parking used today, 13/07, very quiet and less than 15 minutes' walk from the center. I recommend this place; it must be quiet for spending the night.
Excellent parking 10 minutes' walk from the center. Tree-lined area with spaces where 7-meter vehicles can park, leaving the overhang on the grass. It gets crowded in the morning because there is a school next door.
Nearby parking for visiting Braga city center; it is fine. On Saturday night into Sunday there were no schoolchildren, but a lot of car traffic made us feel unsafe, although everything was okay.
