Gravel parking at an archaeological site on the heights of Santiago do Cacém, with some shade and a reasonably level surface. It is quiet, though nearby dogs may bark and roosters can wake visitors; overhanging trees restrict larger vehicles. The archaeological site is closed on Mondays, but parking remains possible, and entry to the Roman ruins costs €3.

Excellent, quiet, and we slept very well despite barking dogs. We were woken by roosters crowing. The archaeological site is closed on Mondays.Translating
If you love history and romans GO. As someone from the Uk this place was incredible! A lovely walk through a ruined Roman town, some things are so intact and it only cost €3.
Archaeological site closed on Monday but still possible to park here, reasonably level on all weather gravel. Shade for smaller campers but overhanging trees prevent larger vehicles access. Quiet but some dogs barking nearby. Good access for all sizes of vehicle and only a short gravel driveway from the main road. One waste bin but nothing else. 7.5 metre motorhome.
