204 Hasselholzer Weg, 52074, Aachen
Been here?
This is a parking lot at the end of a 30 km/h residential road beside the forest, used as a starting point for walks and hikes. The area is generally quiet overnight, but many cars, walkers, dog owners and parents pass from about 6.00 in the morning. The parking surface is noticeably sloped, and nearby housing begins directly at the parking area. A viewpoint over Aachen and Klinikum is about 5 minutes away, and the city centre is reachable on foot or by bicycle.

Quiet at night. From 6:00 a.m., heavily frequented by many cars.
Had a great night. Nice and quiet, right on the edge of the city. The photos do not show that the buildings end exactly where the parking lot begins. It is not really a problem, but there is quite a bit of activity.
Good night. Quiet and peaceful, but one star deducted for the sloping parking area, which made it impossible for us to stand level. It may not be a problem for everyone, but with our motorhome layout it was uncomfortable. Busy in the morning with walkers and people dropping their children off at daycare.
The town does not offer many parking possibilities. We spent the night here peacefully and then drove closer to the center in the motorhome the following morning. It is at the end of a residential street, and the parking is used as the starting point for many walks in the nearby forest, which is very beautiful. It is somewhat difficult to find a completely level spot.
There was a lot of passing traffic from walkers and cyclists on Sunday; it became quiet after 10 p.m. You can park under trees, which is very useful when it rains—I did not feel a single drop myself. There were two little horses in the adjacent meadow, which was very pleasant. You are surrounded by greenery and several beautiful walking and cycling routes. Apart from two bins, there are no other facilities.
Perfect for peace and security. Very upscale residential neighborhood. We turned around on our first pass because we thought we would find something closer to the old town, but after driving around for two hours we returned, happy to find this peaceful setting. The town center is 15 minutes by bike, all downhill—the return is longer.
A little uneven, but we had a fine night! You can take beautiful walks, and Aachen city center is within cycling distance, although the return journey is a little steep.
Very beautiful place, three stars because it is too sloping and I did not want to use leveling blocks because I do not want to behave like a typical camper.
Perfect as an overnight stop, felt safe. No problems with a 7.5-meter vehicle. Slightly sloping but okay.
Great place. Easy with a large camper (mine is 7m30 long and 2m50 wide). At the start of some walking paths.
Great spot about 10min walk from the city centre. Super peaceful and quiet. Stayed here for one night.
Our first evening in a parking lot. We chose this location because of the good reviews and were not disappointed. Beautiful nature, with a viewpoint five minutes away on foot, and generally quiet. Somewhere, loud techno played until 11 p.m., but that probably does not happen every night. Very satisfied, and we recommend this place.
Lovely place with hiking trails starting here. We settled in for the night, but a woman walking her dog told us it was prohibited, according to her, I assume. We stayed anyway because leaving with two small children would have been difficult. We had no problems, but another woman made a comment. There is also construction work at the moment.
Super quiet at night, with an idyllic concert of birdsong. In the evening, many dog walkers drive there and walk from the site; it does not disturb anyone, and everything was peaceful. There is currently a construction site, which makes access somewhat difficult and leaves a few fewer parking spaces available.
