Been here?
This is a rustic, quiet campsite beside a large private lake, with plenty of space, clean facilities and a strongly themed mystery park. A night without electricity costs 350 NOK, while free rowing boats, hot showers, dry firewood and fishing along 10 kilometer of private shoreline are available. The site includes cooking stations, a troll and treasure hunt, and museums in the former bearhunter’s house and boathouse. Vehicles should preferably be max 7 meters long, and access includes a bumpy gravel road and a 2,80-meter height route 600 meters northeast of the underpass.

Very nice place. Lots of nature and few campers. It invites you to go for walks! The sanitary facilities were very clean!Translating
What a wonderful place! Very nice owner—you can tell how much love and care goes into maintaining this campsite! Cozy seating areas everywhere, a great location by the lake with boats, an old house offering a little journey through time that you can visit and even use, and treasures and little messages to discover everywhere. 5++⭐️Translating
A truly wonderful place. We spontaneously extended our stay by two days. Everything is clean and designed with attention to detail. If you are looking for a little adventure and enjoy a more rustic atmosphere, this is exactly the right place! We will definitely come back! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Translating
By far the most beautiful place we have stayed at so far. Boats can be borrowed free of charge, and SUPs cost 100 NOK for 3 hours. Everything is very clean and prepared with great care. It is a very quiet area, but there is plenty to do. We stayed for two days and would have liked to stay even longer if the weather had not changed. Highly recommended!Translating
Excellent campsite. Everything is designed with attention to detail. Firewood, rowing boats, and showers can be used free of charge. The price for one night without electricity, 350 NOK, is absolutely reasonable.Translating
This magical campsite on the large lake is unique. Friendly welcome, German-speaking owner, barbecue areas and wood for fire pits. The museum in Otto Schulz’s original 1930s home (1856–1935) is spectacular. You can fish on the lake without a fishing license, and there are rowing boats and a great hiking trail with hidden trolls. Nature, adventure, and unforgettable memoriesTranslating
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An absolute five stars! We were here with a motorhome, two children, and a dog, and can agree 100% with all the positive reviews. A beautiful, lovingly designed campsite, very clean and peaceful. The owners are incredibly warm and welcoming. Our children had lots to discover and we felt completely at home. We will definitely come back!Translating
An exceptionally inspiring place where a beautiful natural estate has been transformed into a mystery with great creativity and attention. A clean, warm, and welcoming place with free use of fire bowls, wood, and rowing boats.Translating
We can give the full five stars here! The site is run with a lot of love and is very special. Huge praise to the owners’ family: I suffered a head wound and concussion in our motorhome. As Germans, we did not know where to turn. The entire family helped us tremendously! We even returned to the site for another two days to recover.Translating
What a fantastic campsite. After staying here, nothing else will ever be good enough.Translating
Very friendly owners, a cozy and peaceful campsite that exceeded all expectations. We only left because of the bad weather. In good weather, we would happily spend several days here; there are plenty of activities.Translating
We were traveling from north to south and looking for a campsite not right on the E6. One night turned into two. It is simply wonderful to unwind by the lake around a campfire or barbecue. There is a marked trail for a hike around the lake. The sanitary facilities are excellent, and there is a surprise in the restroom. In general, there is a lot to discover hereTranslating
An incredibly beautiful place! I could not have imagined that something like this existed. A clear five stars plus! Lovingly designed, with very clean sanitary facilities. Free rowing boats, including life jackets. Great hiking trails.Translating
Five stars plus for this unique, spacious campsite. Everything you need is here and very clean, with a super-friendly owner and staff. Unfortunately, we were only here for one night, but we felt completely comfortable. We would gladly come back.Translating
Seriously. This is one of the most beautiful campsites I have ever stayed at. Quiet, clean, secluded pitches, close to nature, everything lovingly prepared, and a super-friendly welcome. There is also a small museum and a great troll trail.Translating
A beautiful site run with lots of love and passion. Extremely well maintained and clean.Translating
A beautiful location and wonderfully friendly people. On arrival we were given an incredibly warm welcome and were allowed to choose a spot in the field with electrical hookups. The sanitary facilities are well maintained and all amenities are available. Very satisfied, highly recommended!Translating
Very lovely, charming place! All the comforts, especially welcome in the rain and cold. We were able to cook and make a good fire. We spent a warm and pleasant time. I recommend it... Claude and DenisTranslating
A magnificent place in the middle of nature and beside the lake. Many details give the site a particularly charming character. You can make a fire and take a boat ride for free! We would have liked to stay longer!Translating
The most lovely place in pure nature!Translating
A different vision of camping, a magical atmosphere, and charming owners. This campsite is truly an incredible place.Translating
Perfect site, beautiful hiking trails, and an excellent host! 5 stars plusTranslating
Remote campsite, absolutely peaceful. Lovingly landscaped, with tidy sanitary facilities. We were there in mid-to-late September, but it is probably well visited and lively in summer, with lawns for ball games, boats to borrow, and so on. Gladly again!Translating
Here we are again at this dreamy place. Once again, the owner is super friendly, the cat is cuddly, the sanitary facilities are clean, and the peace and quiet are wonderful. TOP!Translating
A magical place with fairy-tale experiences. This is a site we will never forget among the hundreds we have visited so far. A hike with a “real” treasure map on a beautiful peninsula—trolls keep a close eye on you along the way. If you are looking for glamping, this is the wrong place. But if you want an exciting, non-mainstream site in a peaceful location, you will find your treasure here. 100% top.Translating
For those who appreciate it, paradise! Great site with a friendly owner. Super clean and everything you need is available!Translating
Most beautiful and magical place I’ve visited in Norway. Two peninsulas with hiking tracks, a treasure map, a quaint and „spooky“ museum, free boats to explore small rocks and islands in the lake, hidden spots and adventures. Wanted to stay 1 day first, but needed to go towards home after 3. Bring your kids, if you have! No Moskitos these days. Very friendly owners. Thank you a lot!Translating
A lovingly designed site, full of details. Clean sanitary facilities, washing machine, and dryer. Simply beautiful!! Unfortunately, there is no waste disposal, but still five stars.Translating
We have stayed at many sites, but this is the best place we have found in Norway. Fishing with a boat, very clean sanitary facilities, and designed with great care.Translating
We have not seen such a wonderful place in a long time! Simply unique, lovingly run, and welcoming. Everything the heart desires. Great pitches, with or without electricity. Everything is very natural, with something new to discover around every corner. We had wonderful weather, were able to swim, go boating, and so on. Also fantastic with dogs. The toilets and showers are now very clean. Everything is top-notch! 100% recommended!Translating
A lovingly prepared campsite with all kinds of things to discover. In addition to a small museum, you can use the fire pits, boats, and a small multilingual library free of charge. A wonderful adventure, especially for children!Translating
Super-friendly owners, idyllic location, manageable even with a length of around 8 m (Sunlight I68 with bicycle rack)—take the correct entrance! The entire sanitary area and grounds are very clean and well maintained, with lovingly made signs everywhere. Great activities are available, such as boating and the museum. We would come back anytime!Translating
A paradise for children and all campers. The site blends beautifully into nature. Great access points to the lake; boats can be used free of charge, including life jackets. You receive a map that also serves as a small treasure hunt. A football field, trampoline, and plenty of space to play. There are many fire pits and barbecue areas, including wood. The toilet and shower are very clean.Translating
The site is really more of an adventure park than just a campsite. Service: top-notch, friendly, and committed Location: unique, peaceful, and varied Cleanliness: 10/10 Price: very fair We will come back!Translating
Incredibly beautiful, small, and cozy campsite with lots of green space. You can feel the owner’s love of detail and his craftsman’s and tinkerer’s spirit at every corner. Warm welcome, very clean toilets. There is also a small, self-built self-service shop and beautiful hikes starting from the site. Simply authentic and inviting!Translating
We absolutely loved our night in this fabulous location. What a bonus to have fire pits with chopped wood and paper provided! We were in heaven sitting by the fire with lake in the background. The spirit if this place is reflected in all the quirky signs. It’s friendly and peaceful. Highly recommend. Translating
We Had to come back this year, to this wonderful place, though we Had to take a biiiig detour , but very much worth it. A place itself is a natural gem , but the details the owners put into this camp is remarkable. 10/10! Everything you need for a good vacation and recharge is taken care of here!Translating
A beautiful place! Everything is very well maintained in harmony with nature and designed with such care that you can only feel comfortable. We stayed for two nights, had a fire by the lake and took a lovely little hike onto the peninsula, went by boat to the other shore, enjoyed a good shower and an ice cream… We simply had a great time. Gladly again :)Translating
The most beautiful campsite of our entire Scandinavia trip—this is how camping should be, and how it once was. No excessive luxury, but a unique location and picturesque pitches with lake views. Arrive early; the good spots are limited. We absolutely cannot understand why our neighbor unpacked his gas barbecue: he had a grill bowl and plenty of wood!!!Translating
What an incredible place. Only one regret… not staying longer. We promise we’ll come back.Translating
I can only agree one hundred percent with Ute Zimmer’s review. Designed with heart and passion by the owners! You feel welcome and comfortable here. So many little details, such as handwritten signposts and much more, turn this site into an experience. The museum is a must! Giving up excessive luxury means “less is more.” An absolute recommendation.Translating
Anyone who loves peace, relaxation, and nature must stop here. It is one of the most beautiful places for me. Of course, you have to expect flying visitors here—you are in nature by the water. Everything has been prepared with great care, both the sanitary facilities and the pitches. Visiting the museum and hiking across the peninsula are essential; there is lots to discover, plus fishing and boating.Translating
Here for the second time, and the site is still excellent. No gravel or asphalt pitches—fortunately. The site has been expanded with more amusing things and activities, and small improvements have been made to the facilities. There are also far fewer insects than farther north in Norway. All in all, very beautiful and family-friendly. We are staying longer and will definitely come back.Translating
