Been here?
A riverside motorhome area on the Fulda, within walking distance of the historic old town and with shops opposite. The current reported fee is 15€ for 24 hours, with water, electricity and waste disposal available, although one socket and the cassette rinse were recently faulty. The site is slightly sloping and beside roads, railway lines and a playground, so traffic, trains and occasional loud music can be heard. The maximum stay is 48 hours, and payment accepts cash, EC card or PayByPhone, but not VISA.

Payment only in cash or by EC card; VISA is not accepted by the machine. Alternative: payment via app, although you do not know whether or how much of a fee will be added. This is not very customer-friendly!Translating
Beautiful site with everything you need, €10 for 24 hours.Translating
Small, for about 17 motorhomes. Facilities are good. Currently fully occupied. Very negative: the pitch fee was increased by 50 percent overnight, from yesterday to today, to €15. 27 May 2026.Translating
The site is good, spacious, and relatively well maintained. Unfortunately, electrical socket 2 was defective; it cost me €2, and the cassette-rinsing facility did not work. Nevertheless, a good starting point for bike tours and city sightseeing.Translating
Thanks to the city for this beautiful motorhome site. The old town is worth seeing and there are excellent Italian restaurants. One star deducted because it is very close to the road. We stayed two days and will definitely return.Translating
Beautiful, clean motorhome site directly on the Fulda, close to the charming old town. Nice for walking and cycling. Payment at the machine with coins, cards (no debit or credit cards), and the Pay per Phone app. €10, or €5 for under 12 hours. Very quiet on Monday night. Water and waste disposal available. Maximum stay 48 hours. Excellent for passing through.Translating
Well worth the stop, with services. Lovely historic town within walking distance. Railway line nearby, and lots of children on the nearby playground kept my wife awake half the night.Translating
The cars and trains are clearly audible. In the evening, teenagers play loud music. Otherwise, a good motorhome site with water and waste disposal.Translating
Large parking area near the Fulda and not far from the city center. Dogs can go directly out, and there is also a circular walking route. Traffic noise from the adjacent road during the day, but it is quiet at night, unless you use the area at the far end of the row of six, which is farther from the road. Satellite reception is possible at all pitches.Translating
Very central, beside and below a heavily trafficked bridge. Waste disposal, water supply, and electricity all work. Excellent and inexpensive. Very clean, with a lovely opportunity to walk right outside.Translating
I would come back for one night. The old town is definitely worth visiting. Water, electricity, and waste disposal are perfect. Spacious entrance right up to the pitch. Trains and cars could be heard at night, but it was still okay. Thanks to the city for providing this facility.Translating
Very good site, clean and firm ground, supermarket opposite, directly on the river and Fulda cycle path, very close to the city, and also excellent for dogs.Translating
Unfortunately, its location beneath a bridge makes it somewhat noisy at night. On Tuesday afternoons the town is closed. Nice place with plenty of greenery. Excellent for dogs. The town can be reached on foot in five minutes.Translating
Town-near campsite next to a bridge with good service facilities. Traffic can be heard. A footpath follows the Fulda into the attractive old town.Translating
Everything you need is available. The old town is really worth seeing and very close by. Not intended for a holiday, but highly recommended for passing through. Traffic noise can be heard. We would still gladly come back.Translating
Tidy parking area by the river with all service facilities. You can buy only 12 hours of overnight parking for €5. A good riverside footpath starts right nearby and leads directly to the old town bridge and restaurants.Translating
Actually not worth a star. Very noisy due to the busy road and railway line. Freight trains can be heard at night. Between midnight and 3 a.m. we were repeatedly woken by loud bangs nearby, perhaps gunshots.Translating
Centrally located campsite. Close to the motorway for travelers passing through. There is a disposal station that can also be used, and the site feels safe and relatively quiet.Translating
Very close to the town center. On Sundays between 07:00 and 10:00, a baker's van is parked on Sandstraße in front of the registration office opposite the playground.Translating
Nice site; paving blocks instead of gravel are great, and the pitches are large. Some pitches require an extra-long cable for electricity, but good-quality Hessen Wi-Fi is available.Translating
Small camper area a short walk from the town. All services are available, near the river and cycle path. We paid €5 for 12 hours without electricity, although power pedestals are present. Excellent stopping place.
We can only agree: a nice, inexpensive site. The town center, with its many half-timbered houses, has charm and offers restaurants and an ice-cream café to linger in. There is a tegut grocery store with its own bakery right at the site. Everything is great!
It could hardly be better; everything is there and top-notch. We cannot understand people who cannot sleep here. We simply go to bed only when we are tired. Then it does not matter what is next to us. It is still a camper stop, not a campsite. €5 for 12 hours is absolutely fine. For some people it is still too expensive, so they park next door but surely use the service facilities too.
Great site, close to the center. Make sure you have enough coins! At least five €1 coins for electricity, and €10 per day for parking. The payment app is not available in Norway, so I could not download it. Great that the site is close to the center, exactly how we like it. SUPER!
Nice overnight stop for travelers passing through. Everything is available. We got the last of ten spaces. Unfortunately, it is right by the bridge. It is very loud because, being Monday, many cars are crossing the bridge. Fine for one night, but not recommended for longer stays. You need coins here, or you can use the app for an additional €1.50 fee.
Basically a nice little site. On Saturday evening, the designated motorhome area with ten vehicles was already full. The pitches are generously sized; even a large motorhome was staying. There is also a gravel parking area in front where vehicles up to 3.5 tons can park. However, on Saturday it had a Kreuzberg-style atmosphere thanks to a group of guys with a Mercedes coupé and loud music.
On Thursday the 28th, 8 of 10 spaces were occupied. Not a problem; you make do. The problem: Balkan techno from an AMG, including all the associated shouting, until 3 a.m.
The site is divided into pitches, nicely laid out, with no shade. The road and skate park did not bother us. Service facilities are fine. One star deducted because the parking meter accepts only coins; alternative payment is via app plus a €1.50 service fee.
Actually a very nice and spacious site with everything you need. We would happily pay via the app, but the €1.50 fee is quite outrageous. So we did not.
This site certainly does not deserve five stars because of its immediate proximity to the busy road, railway line, and skate park. On the other hand, it is nicely close to the town center and offers electricity and service facilities. Sleeping with earplugs was absolutely no problem.
The city has done a perfect job. I cannot understand the complaints about noise. For us country folk, it was pleasant; if you want to stay in the middle of town, noise cannot be avoided. But we did not find it loud at all. Everything a camper stop needs is available, including a restaurant and areas for walking the dogs. Ideal even for large motorhomes up to 11 m.
Unbearable noise; sleeping was almost impossible even with earplugs. I have been traveling by camper for almost fifteen years, with more than a hundred overnight stays each year, and cannot always choose the locations. This site is among the three worst I have ever visited. At least payment by app is possible.
