There is plenty of space. It is more or less flat and free on weekends and at night. A lot of noise late in the evening and in the middle of the night, possibly groups of young people, perhaps because it was Friday night and the start of the holidays. It did not really feel safe. But there were no problems to report.
We found a space despite being 7.5 meters long. Unfortunately, while we were visiting the city and eating at a restaurant, the motorhome was burgled by criminals. A laptop and two or three other less valuable items were stolen. Be careful!
Rather quiet night despite a few cars passing. Toilets not working. Near the tram and free on weekends. Quite rare for such a large city.
Quiet, very well located and free on weekends!
We arrived in Nantes in the late afternoon; the beautiful municipal campsite was full and the nearby motorhome parking area was full too, so we looked for another parking lot. You need to use the app a little, but it is a good plan to park at the back near the park. Tram to the center on the nearby boulevard, and a delicious Italian restaurant to the right and opposite on that boulevard. Forty minutes on foot from Les Machines.
Good place for visiting Nantes. Tram stop nearby; if you go at the weekend, public transport is free.
Good place to sleep and visit Nantes. We spent two very peaceful nights. It is a residential area. Tram stop 200 meters away. Line 3 takes you to central Nantes in 10 minutes.
Very convenient for visiting Nantes. Forty minutes on foot from Les Machines de l'Île; otherwise, there is the tram. Free from July 14 to August 15.
Good parking, free on weekends, see photo, to easily visit Nantes by tram nearest stop 6 minute walk. Car park used by local visitors & residents, couple of other motorhomes parked up too. Spaces bit small but we were lucky to get a space where we could overhang the grass at the rear our 7m moho. Not very peaceful music playing until 2.30am. Would only use for daytime parking in future.
Parking lot with a large number of spaces near the city. You can reach the center by tram. There is a toilet, but it was closed when we were there. Otherwise, it is a quiet residential area.
Quiet parking lot in a residential neighborhood. Dry toilet at the far end of the parking lot, unfortunately quite dirty when we visited.
Parking near the city and public transport, close to a large park that is busy in the evening but very quiet at night. Ideal for visiting Nantes. Be careful: paid during the day.
Quiet location. Five minutes from trams 2 and 3, which take you to Nantes city center in 10 minutes.
Good plan for spending a quiet night in a residential neighborhood, with dry toilets. To visit Nantes during the day, we moved our van to the nearby P+R at 8 Mai (maximum height 2.10 m). For €4.50, you get parking for the whole day and a return tram ticket for up to four people (line T3).
