137 Vissersstraat, 8340, Damme
Been here?
This is listed as 2 or 4 roadside places beside the canal, under tall trees and near the start of a track. The location is described as attractive for canal walks and cycling, but traffic, tractors and a nearby rooster can create noise. A sign at the entrance now prohibits camping cars.

We went there but couldn't stop; there is a sign at the entrance prohibiting motorhomes.
Okay for one night. There was a rooster nearby that woke up very early, and there was still quite a bit of traffic passing relatively late. But that is normal when you are in a supposedly quiet place next to a road. It is beautiful along the canal, with the tall trees!
Very nice, right beside the canal. Unfortunately, it became relatively noisy in the morning because of passing tractors.
Good place for one night with excellent access to the cycle network to Bruges. It is close to a road that is not particularly busy, although it is already noticeably noisy from early morning (we had a pop-top camper). There are several farms nearby, including one with a rooster that makes itself heard, and a church is also within earshot. Many cyclists and pedestrians pass by!
A superb spot right beside the canal, especially as all the campsites in and around Brugge seemed to be full, probably due to the June bank holiday weekend. We had a lovely quiet night alongside 2 other campers apart from the cockerel welcoming in the new day at about 4:30M but hey ho! Managed to park right beside the river next to the glorious Brugge on the bank holiday Monday - lovely day!
