Storkesøen Ribe

Too expensive for what you get. We paid around €45 for a small pitch, electricity, and access to the sanitary facilities. For water use, you get a card with a limit; we could shower for only 11 minutes, which was insufficient and frankly ridiculous for such an expensive campsite. The location is otherwise convenient for visiting the Viking Centre and Ribe town centre.

Very small pitches with no privacy; basic but clean bathrooms; 3 showers for the entire campsite, but we did not have to queue. Nice fishing ponds; generally very peaceful atmosphere.

Peaceful campsite in close proximity of the Viking centre and Ribe. Pitches are small but sufficient. Fun playground for kids. The sanitary building is much to small for the size of the campground, only two (!) sinks to do dishes and a whopping total of three showers results in having to wait a lot while still having to pay for water (to shower, fill watertank)

A great pitch with everything you need, in a very beautiful and peaceful location. From Kür to the city it is about a 20-minute walk. Very friendly staff at reception.

Great place, quiet and not far from the Viking sites to visit. Very friendly staff. Fishing is possible and the children’s park is perfect.

Very beautiful place, unfortunately all the pitches are in the sun and there are only two sinks for washing, arranged very inconveniently. Given the otherwise excellent surroundings, this is a major shortcoming. Nevertheless, it is recommended.

Not expensive and close to Ribe, but there is absolutely no privacy because everyone is packed closely together. You pay for the shower by the minute; the room is a bit grubby and not very pleasant.

Located about 1.5 km from Ribe on foot, bordered by lakes and fishermen. The place is quiet, the pitch is decent, and the sanitary facilities and showers are fine. The town is very pleasant to explore on foot.

Very beautiful and quiet motorhome site with generous spaces. The sanitary facilities are very clean. We felt very comfortable here. Beautiful Ribe is easily reachable on foot. We also looked at the free car parks on the outskirts. You have to want that; for us, it was not an alternative.

Good location, 1.5 km from Ribe town centre. All amenities. We paid €32 per night for a van and 2 people, including electricity and a 12-minute shower card.

Nice place for fishing, for a fee, or for quickly exploring the town by bicycle. Basic sanitary facilities, but clean. Unfortunately, some anglers do not follow the signs prohibiting fish cleaning.

We stayed for 2 nights. The site is very well maintained and the sanitary facilities are very clean. A beautiful base for visiting the Viking village and fishing in the pond.

This is a mix of camping, lodging, fishing and more. Friendly and welcoming staff. Open even pitches, but with limited privacy. I view this place best suited for hobby fishing and clamping… Close to Ribe and also to the Viking Center. Overall good stop over.

Very nice place for visiting Ribe or fishing. Showers cost extra and you can see the time counting down while showering, which creates a little stress.

Very beautiful motorhome/campsite beside a fishing lake. You can buy a fishing permit and rent fishing rods at reception. With a bit of luck, you can have a roughly 50 cm salmon trout for dinner in the evening. Good water supply and disposal. Sanitary facilities clean and tidy. Price: 200 DKK. Two kilometres on foot to the lovely town. I recommend the site. Thanks to the operators. RM

Campsite very close to Ribe, reachable on foot. Beautiful area with small lakes where you can fish, and greenery, ideal for dog owners. Unfortunately, the showers were not working; we were told it was because of the wind. Only toilets and cold water. For the €31 per night we paid, it was not worth it. If you have no special requirements and are stopping for one night, we recommend the car park in Ribe.

Beautiful site and very well-maintained park with lakes for fishing, walking, and relaxing. Children’s playground available and everything really clean. We were satisfied.

Arrived on 17 September and unexpectedly ended up at this campsite. We stayed in a quick-stop pitch. Awnings may not be extended here; chairs are allowed, but when absent they must be put back inside the motorhome. Good base for visiting Ribe and its museums. You need a card for water at the service station. It works by the minute. We did not use the sanitary facilities.

Good place for visiting Ribe. Showers are charged via a separate card from reception; make sure to load enough credit, as the remaining credit is refunded. The sanitary facilities, although limited in number, were clean and fine.

A very beautiful site with many facilities. You can quickly reach the old town or the Viking Centre by bicycle. There are naturally many anglers and ferry travellers passing through. The toilets are indeed rather sparse for such a huge site, but they were cleaned frequently while we were there. Presumably, others found them dirty when there were many more guests.

Not a bad place for anglers and for setting off into town. Unfortunately, the sanitary facilities are very old and actually insufficient: 1 sink and 3 toilets in the men’s area for more than 40 pitches, plus 3 showers for everyone. The existing road across the site is also bad; it was very dusty and dirt landed on the table every time a vehicle passed.

Nice, well-organized place. Located near the Viking village and not very far from Ribe town centre. We absolutely loved this town. Sanitary facilities not used.

Basically a nice motorhome site with good infrastructure. But 3 toilets for women, 3 for men, and 3 showers for everyone is absolutely insufficient for 40 pitches plus tent pitches. The sanitary facilities were not very clean. In 14 days in Denmark, we stayed in all marinas better, more cheaply, and more cleanly than here.

Nice place and friendly staff. For quickpitch we reccommend to come by 16.00 pm. Price is reasonable. We stopped here on the way up and on the way down.

Very nice campsite near Ribe. Very beautiful town. Ideal for cycling, heading towards the island of Rømø. Reasonable price.
