A quiet wild spot by a water tower among pine trees, reached by an easy trail and suitable even for a 6m van. Summer afternoons now offer little shade because trees have been cut, and the water tower emits a constant whistle. The ground is uneven, but the location is discreet and peaceful, with hiking routes toward PR16 and PR17.

Lovely discreet place. Apart from the water tank, which also emits a constant whistling sound... This can be annoying with a pop-top roof. There are beautiful hikes starting from the spot, connecting to the PR16 and PR17 trails at Castelo. The photo with the car was taken at the second spot, see below. A little harder to fit a van there and less discreet, but with a more extensive view.Translating

Stunning sunset view and very quiet. Not level, but fine for a van. Only one spot though, maybe two. The place was very clean, no toilet paper as other posts mentioned. Also no biting bugs, just lots that fly around. Farmers/locals drove by and no one even looked twice. Definitely recommend for visiting wine country!
The place is accurately described by other users. In the middle of nature, with a beautiful, peaceful view. The only truly regrettable drawback is that some users leave toilet paper and other waste behind. What a shame; we may eventually no longer be allowed to camp wild. Peaceful place, clean site—thank you for continuing to preserve our nature—and a superb spot. The view when you wake up can only make you smile. I recommend it for spending the night. When leaving the spot, be sure to follow the Douro. The Estrada Nacional 222 between Peso da Régua and Pinhão will leave you speechless. This road is simply magnificent.Translating
